This is a really tough situation. Last year of contract, so you want to sell if he's not interested in an extension so you at least don't let him walk free. But we haven't got a ready replacement who's done anything at this level. Feels like a lose-lose scenario.

Its all building up for a 'historic' season.

He won’t be bothered how well or bad we do this season if he stays, it’ll all be about not getting injured before he moves on.

Have to try our hardest to punt him into the moon and get a replacement in. One of our biggest problems as a club in Moshiri’s time is we have persisted with players that were mentally checked out instead of looking towards the future and left ourselves bare. If we go with Dom, not only will he likely stink the joint out, he will take minutes away from players that want to be here and will put the effort in. It would be a wasted year if he stays and we will be worse off for it.

Just leave him on the bench. If he responds, great. If not, we don’t lose much. Beto at least makes runs, works hard, and will run people over. He’s not a good player but given what Dom showed to start the season, it’s no loss if he keeps sitting.
