"Everton can win the Premier League"

Won't go down well this, but I'd say they're better

They've had a year under Rodgers (who, whilst cringeworthy, is a good manager) to adapt to his methods and they're reaping the rewards. They have bought well in the last 12 months and they have a truly world class player in Suarez who can win games by himself. We have a lot of good players, but we don't possess anyone with that sort of quality.

We might get CL football, but unless the wheels come off across Stanley Park, I think we may have to accept that they're going to get back into the champions league this season and may even end up putting together a decent title challenge if Arsenal, City and Chelsea don't get their act together

"They're better"?? You mean in a better position, currently. We are the much more competent footballing side this season, in a shorter amount of time than bell-end rodgers has had. All it takes is for an injury to suarez an they'll buckle. A total one man team, not afraid of playing them one bit. They'll come unstuck soon don't worry.

I really think that we just need to improve on the final 3rd we seem to do so well of keeping hold of the ball and then going for the counter and get the ball up really quickly but i find as soon as we get to there box were a little stuck. We seem a little hesitant, where when you watch city play at home they seem to do really well around the box and seem to score for fun.

If we are able to improve this or bring someone in who we can get to do this we would step up a level.

But that's Rodgers' problem isn't it? If anything happens to Suarez, they become a spurs level team at best. Their next best player is their goalie.

to maintain top 4 we need to add 2 or 3 players in Jan without a doubt.

You could see against fulham - when Deulofeu went off and mirallas was on...who was left? Jelavic? Christ!

McCarthy back moves Osman back on the bench but without strengthening in Jan we need to be incredibly lucky with injuries.

No guarantee we will get any new injuries - bit like the 'what if Giroud gets injured - it may not happen but all of a sudden were looking a bit light in terms of players from the bench who can impact and change a game.

Start of the season, we would have been happy to finish 6th with a new man in charge. Were exceeding everyones expectations and its great to watch but until the last game of the season, the size of our squad will mean everyone will continue to right us off completely.

I am genuinely terrified at the prospect of the RS kicking on here and winning the league.

We'd never hear the end of it, even if we finished in the CL places.

Sleep easy mate, they're simply not good enough.

A fact that will be clearly demonstrated on Boxing Day...........

agree with FLHD...they simply are now where near good enough for that. Once Suarez comes out of this patch hes in, bites someone, gets injured whatever they are f**ked.

City will destroy them at the emirates...chelsea will also.

Etihad surely?!! But I agree they beat a ****e spurs team and will will spanked by city. All depends on what Chelsea team show up.

...hmmm, after watching their demolition of Spurs at WHL (who we struggled with at home in a 0-0 draw), I am less dismissive of Liverpool. Interesting period coming up. For us, Swansea will be challenge . The loss of Del boy as an impact player is significant.

i didnt watch the spurs game...i asked my dad and tbh he said it was a combination of both.

He said at times spurs literally couldnt even pass the ball to each other with noone in sight.

If liverpool played the big boys every week they would piss the league...but they dont and its against the 5hite that they come unstuck.

Amazing how things change. At the start of the season a top half finish would have done for me. Then it became top 4. I reckon we can finish 2nd from here. Difficult to decide which of our top 4 rivals will join us there as none seem to have our consistency, but I don't think Arsenal will implode this year and their lead will be enough for them to win it.

I hate quotes like this, we struggled with spurs, but how did we get on against Hull compared to them?

Every game is different.

From looking invincible with 7 minutes to go, 1-nil up at home to Everton...
they might not even be top of the league by this time next week.

Just goes to show how quickly things can turn around in Football.

All we should be doing at this stage is focussing firmly on the next match and doing everything we can to win that.

This is a discussion forum, if we can't talk about what could happen this season and are only allowed to talk about Swansea we may as well close the place down.

We're fans, not players or staff. Aside from going the match and supporting every weekend there's not much we can do, so us focussing on Sunday matters not a jot.
