Given the sheer amount of transfer wishes we've seen Moyes here in the past I agree, he's never ever been one to state incomings when he knows otherwise. Usually the opposite and seriously downplays expectations

Very interesting to see us linked with Paul Barber coming in as the CEO.

IF that happens it's a huge statement of ambition from TFG and shows they really are looking at completely changing the club.

Barber is arguably the best CEO out there - by a margin as well, to get him from Brighton would ensure that are future commercial side of the business would be astronomically improved.

How good is he, just as an example he's the guy who got spurs the record sponsorship deal for their kit back in 2006 - 34m four year deal, back when we were getting 1.5m per year from Chang....

I’d rather one player of real quality that can play across the front line (a Richarlison type), than 2 or 3 substandard bodies.

We really do need a player that can score goals though, desperately.

Think unfortunately with PSR restrictions seemingly a factor we need to spread the risk a bit. One player of Richarlison’s quality probably blows the budget - even if we can afford that - and if they get crocked week one then we’re totally stuffed.

Would rather wait till summer than fork out for someone like him.

He peaked at the back end of 22/23 after struggling all season and scored most of his goals then. Since then injuries and Chris Wood (bought for less than what Forest would want for him) has eclipsed him. He's also 27.

Just screams "good for 6 months". Would rather punt all the money on a player similar to Ferguson - young, potential, time to develop.

Nah Moyes has plugged the leaks from previous regimes, Toffee TV were suggesting on their afternoon thing yesterday that wherever they normally get bits from, well that's now stopped since Moyes has come in, even the Bobble/his mate, they are not saying much at the moment either. TFG are also notorious for the way they just do stuff then announce it. I just think we leaked like a sieve previously and its been stopped now.

Hmm. We'll see deals come out these days, so many people involved in them that it is pretty much impossible to keep them secret once they advance.

If the stuff about Beto is accurate, then means we didn't end negotiations after DCL got injured, would suggest we will let Beto go either because we have a replacement lined up or we don't realise we don't have any other strikers

2 weeks ago - I'm confident of 2 or 3.
We need it even without the injuries because the quality isn't there up front. Ideally we'd look at left back too but it's the attacking areas we're really focusing on.

1 week ago - I'm hopeful of bringing in a few players but we're seeing the restrictions the club still has in terms of spending.

What will it be tomorrow? The obvious, given the trend and what we're (not) seeing would be "we're hoping for something but not expectant".
