New stadiums in no way guarantee success. Just look at the decline at Arsenal since Highbury. City are probably the exception to the rule. Most teams struggle with the transition to a new home ground.

Well lobbing circa £400m at footballers hasnt worked has it? There are no guarantees in football, other than never rely on Spurs, but the ability/chance to build the ground will never come round again.

The stadium is the clubs future. Why spend another 200 mill just to finish in pretty much the same position anyway?

Is it not a good thing he's decided to pause throwing good money after bad on the team?
Its good that we have really cut back on our wasteful spending yes. But to cut it back to a spend of 1.6m is pretty pathetic. Thats the sort of window that sets you back equally as much as one where you blow a ton of cash. Standing still = going backwards.

We needed a right back urgently. Everyone connected with the club knew it. To not get one is an utter joke and the DOF has to go.

Some proper nonsense on here. We aren’t prioritising a stadium over signing players. We’ve made massive losses over the last few years even discounting anything to do with COVID. If no financial rules was in place we’d be spending money and probably very badly like previously.

we aren’t going to be relegated and won’t even be close, but we won’t be anywhere near competing for the champions league spots either, we had the spending of a champions league club but the common sense of a business ran by morons.
