What a send off those players are giving the old lady.

It’s just a slog now at the match, and the atmosphere is understandably atrocious.

She deserves so much better, as do the fans of this once great club. It’s so sad.

Basically last night was two ends of the spectrum.
The worst run club in the premier league against arguably the best run club.

You simply have to win your home games in our position, especially against the likes of Brighton, Wolves, Forest…. We simply can’t do that. Win those three and we would now be 11th. Sad but unless everything changes we are gone.

Wolves and Forest I’ll give you but Brighton at the minute are a far better team than our lot. They’ve beaten better sides than us convincingly in recent times.

No mercy anytime soon mate, ongoing agony for us all. Relegation would be even more pain.

All the talk of “never again” after palace last season - hollow words from a hollow board and management team - were everything Everton shouldn’t be, and as I feared at the ground, the fans simply don’t have another great escape in them, following last season - were so broken.

Just goes to show the lack of squad depth. I'm not sticking up for the manager and won't stick up for the shower of [Poor language removed] displays on the pitch.

I suppose the only saving grace is that a loss is just a loss, and you don't get points taken away for ineptitude. All of their goals resulted from either calamitous defending, or midfield errors. 1 nil was down to Patterson primarily, although it was very easy for their player to come inside and shoot (no midfield). 2 nil Mykoloenko totally lost his man. 3 nil Tarkowski fell over or something but again had no support (Gana just stood there). 4 nil Gana played possibly the worst backpass I can remember, then tried to blame Pickford. Good finish mind, can't imagine any of our players running with the ball and then polishing that off.
Can't choose a man of the match as they were all rubbish. Maybe Pickford didn't do much wrong I suppose. Boo.

Still feeling numb after that. Started well and who knows what would have happened if one of the early chances had gone in.

Difference was Brighton looked a team that had cohesion and an attacking plan. We simply moved the ball from random player to random player hoping something would happen.

Defence shocking all game. Laughable to hear anyone describe Patterson as Premier League standard. His stupidity coupled with Frank's inexperience or arrogance as a manager meant Coady and Tarks exposed constantly. Patterson should have been pulled at half time whilst the game was still there to be had.

Thought Iwobi at least showed signs of some attacking flair whilst Gray was at least callig for the ball whilst others went missing. DCL offered nothing.

I hate to say it but Lampard has to go. There's no coming back from this. It's no a desperate salvage mission til the end of the season. Big Sam esque required. And then we are back to square one if somehow we are lucky enough to survive. A total mess.

Amount of times Brighton had the ball at the back and just strolled with it, before laying it off. I don't know if I described it well but it was like a testimonial.

I'm sick & tired of watching Everton running towards their own goal to a man after every time their press is being passed. That's now ten years and counting. Of course manure happens when your only way of defending is speeding into your end and hoping someone gets a foot on the ball.
