Because the thing that I would have got excited about had we won would not have been about Liverpool winning the league? It would have been about us beating one of the top teams in the league and keeping our feint champions league dreams alive and with it all the buzz I always get to see our club win.

Apparently from some people on here he was insulting us and questions the fans integrity due to the weird atmoaphere and was continually going on about it and didnt give it a rest. Are people not really convinced with City because there was not a great gulf between us......doesn't that say more for us. Think we have come on a lot this season and we will continue to make the so called bigger clubs less than 'convincing'.

I don't always get upset when we lose, its usually the manner of defeat that can upset me ,like soton and CP. Today was a decent performance against the likely Champions so that hasn't disappointed me too much but its the cherry on the cake I have enjoyed today.

I was actually trying to show that I didn't think it was the majority of fans who thought that way, I didn't want to generalize everyone. And if wanting your club to win regardless of how other clubs are affected means I'm smug then I definitely am
