I think that was more to due with Koeman being offered more money just as Moyes was kept in the high earners bracket. The fake throwing toys out the pram act in January was all an act. 6 Million a year is living proof. So was his fake ultimatum to Ross.

Koeman would leave at first opportunity of a better club coming in for him in my opinion however what is interesting is that here in my country L'Équipe ran a story about how Lucien Favre met with Everton board and they kept him waiting,Favre is a fantastic manager and now off to Dortmund after getting NICE into the champions league (As he has with previous clubs in Germany and discovered great players like Reus and Ter Stegen etc).

It's interesting that they said Everton kept him waiting and in the end he chose a lesser job. It looked to me that they spent all summer chasing experts in selling to buy in Walsh and Koeman and with the mantra that 7th-9th pays well when you don't have to invest anything NET.

Either that or they shortlisted Favre out of luck because he was free and didn't have a clue about his management skills that are superior to Ronald- Every 18 year old who follows european football knows this.

Maybe it's a case of Old men Elstone who follow Rugby not being very wise- An example I like to use is like saying someone at the FBI can be good at catching Serial killers but they really don't know how to put them self in their shoes and understand the picture whole.

Bill Moshiri Elstone and the Russian bloke don't really understand football so I'd of hoped Walsh would step up and act like a Levy type role and really take everything out of bills and elstones hands. Walsh should really be hiring and firing managers, appointing specialist staff, handling contracts, organising transfers. But it seams like Elstone and Bill have massive part to play.

Favre is a decent manager, but never managed in the Premier League, I mean hes won a few Swiss Leagues, WOW.

Nice finished 4th last season, under the current Saints manager, Favre did really well to get them a whole place extra.

Dry your sheets, the battle is almost over, this summer is the big 1.

IMO RK's had a successful first season. He's reversed the trajectory of Martinez who could have gotten us relegated with his philosophy. I think RK's famous name and pragmatic approach attracted Mosh who values league placing above all.
Favre has that something extra, like Poch, that can get a team to overachieve but is more of a risk. RK offers reliable Prem placement in line with resources.
I'm not fearful of second season syndrome under RK due to his pragmatism and his historic limited cup successes which prob mean we won't go far in the EL.
I do believe RK was promised a war chest and if it's another sell to buy summer he'll have been mislead just as much as the fans. There's not a chance he'll resign and give up his mega wage though.

No chance we bid 60 million, he uses words that are very smart such as 'we met their asking price' or 'I've cleared the debt' (When he only consolidated it and it's not been cleared, yes fair enough there's no payback date but he can also claim it back'

Now the probability of him using words like this on accident is low as he's part of the Monaco bubble who talks politically and can use words that supporters can believe without people looking into it deep.

Harsh reality that he is highly intelligent and people are gullible enough to believe official narrative so he sticks as he knows people who will question him will be in minority. He also uses benefit of the doubt to get away with things Kenwright would be crucified for.
Moshiri must be able to sell an idea and generate enthusiasm and trust in others in order to convince them to invest both mentally and financially in a project.
It's to our advantage given we're trying to build a new stadium and will have to raise huge funds to do so. History has shown us several times before we'd have no chance without him.
The big war chest hype has, thus far, been very successful. One year on there's seemingly been no transfer investment from Mosh yet commentators keep referring to our spending power.
Mosh knows how to market allright. Not unlike his partner at Arsenal. For months it was 'get Wenger out' then Usmanov leaked the failed bid and it instantly switched to 'Kronke out'. Marketing works and these guys are very good at it.

You've pretty much nailed it, he puts out pics with Joe and the Architect who loves Instagram all puts into this manipulative bubble.

I agree the summer will be a big one we can hope we move in early.

I think the used by date for this ends this Summer mate. People aren't stupid. Not even Tony Pulis...

Why is Moshiri unable to be blamed yet people he's kept on (Elstone and Kenwright) get pelters for apparently negotiating transfers despite us having a Director of football

Director of football does not equate to being able to negotiate multi-million pound deals. Between him and Koeman they probably help set limits to what value that player is worth before going on to other targets and then it's up to the business side to try and make that happen.

Whether or not Kenwright is causing problems in this area is just speculation. Maybe he is, maybe he isn't.

Moshiri is just as much to blame as Kenwright if we balls this window up like last summer. Can be no excuses bidding £8 million for a top summer target.

What winds me up about this club is we talk a big game, the 'offering Napoli Koulibalys £60 million' price tag' Kenwrights 'if we want a player who wants to come here we'll get them'

Yet we continue to be a laughing stock in the transfer window.

He "got away with it" last Summer, settling in period for the manager, the new DoF, "Bill sticking his nose in", which is quite laughable, but anyway, everybody got a free pass. No free passes handed out this summer, for anybody and if August comes and the need for finger pointing arises, I know who my fingers will be getting pointed at, BOTH OF THEM.

But im sure that there wont be any need for blaming, only praise.

People only blame Kenwright when its a bad one, when its a good (as in a lot of the time) one or an amazing one (such as binning players to Sunderland for far too much) the same people are no place to be seen, moan when it suits thats why
