Thanks Mr Moshiri. Thanks for the transformation. Where would we be without you? Selling players and relying on tv cash for transfer warchests; lumbered with a dinosaur manager; stuck with a useless commercial operation; still begging for a new stadium to be built for us.

Thanks for ending the nightmare you Iranian prince.

Don't you know dave, apart from buying the shares with his own money, and lending us the money to clear our debt that he'll get back 10 fold when he sells us on for a mega profit, supposedly he's paid for transfers etc out of his own arse pocket as well.

He's our saviour mate. Two seasons in and I feel - through his largesse - that we're on the verge of something major.

Well we had ups as well as downs with PJ. Moshiri's time here has been a huge downturn.

Money attracts expectation.

We were a Wayne Rooney transfer to Man Utd away from nearly going out of business not that long ago.

I can’t imagine for one minute FM is happy with the way it’s gone in his first couple of years in charge.

I’m sure he will try his upmost to protect his investment & get it right.

We are trying to mix it with multi-billionaire owners - not easy.

I used to think that a definitive yes or no on BMD would mark crunch time on his tenure here but it will actually come in the next few weeks.

We may already be deluding ourselves that we can still gatecrash the top six but another set of poor decisions regarding the posts to be filled will I fear, result in the near permanent shift to also-ran status, where we are practically no different to some of the sides we still like to think we’re bigger and better than.

A bit ironic really that this prospect occurs whilst still under the chairmanship of Bill Kenwright. It’s about the structure as much as the people, we desperately need change in both.

Compared to what?
You raise an interesting consideration Roydo. I reconcile the subtle relativistic nuance in your post in the following way:

Relativity teaches us that if I'm on a train moving at 60mph and I get out of my seat and sprint down the aisle at 20mph, to the folk sharing the carriage, I'm moving at 20mph. But to a stationary observer sat outside the train, I'm moving at 80mph.
The trouble with Everton, is that the figurative train we travelling on, is an old broken down clunker and is just sat there, rusting on the tracks. So, to all stationery observers, we're not moving at all.

I reckon Einstein wouldn't have been a big fan of Everton...too slow
