Early days but Brands and Silva look to be streetwise and hard-nosed certainly relative to what took place last pre-season with Koeman and Walsh. Calm and methodical squad additions and sensible gradual staged release of the not good enough/not needed. Professionally 8/10 so far.
Please continue this for the next 3 days and sort out at least one new CB and its edging an 8.5/10.
Now Farhad, please go ahead and hire similarly experienced professionals to address BMD in the same manner the playing side is being remediated.

It will be when everything that's gone is weighed asgainst what's arrived.

Also we have seen the wage bill slashed. The club is going through a belt tightening phase all told.

In light of the breaking Bernard developments, and free to boot, I raise 8.5 to 9/10! Centre back and we're good...

His only mistake is putting his trust in the wrong people. You just hope he's learnt from those mistakes. It seems that Brands & Silva are a step in the right direction and the beginning of correcting the wrongs of the last two years.

Ive been banging this drum for ages. Both Koeman and Walsh were considered a coup at the time and he provided them with plenty of funds to sign who they wanted. They got it horribly wrong and the season turned sour but how is that Moshiri's fault? He's not a manager or a scout, thats what he hired them to do. Hindsight is a wonderful thing isnt it?

He's obviously tried to correct his mistakes with Silva and Brands, fingers crossed he's got it right this time.

The only thing I will criticise him for is the Allardyce panic signing, but even then he achieved what was expected (even if it was horrific viewing).

It took Levy and FSG a while to sort Spurs and Liverpool out, both went through a few managers, DoF's and multiple dodgy signings but have finally made progress - lets hope that this is the start of ours.
