We went from being a club with identity to one that has none. We went from being a stable club to one that has a revolving door on the manager's office. We've seen the waste of a once-in-a-generation player trading treasure trove by his handing it to a numbskull he hired. We're now in massive debt to Moshiri and a bank (and if Moshiri gets his way we'll be over a half a billion in debt to local authorities and private investors).

Now please can YOU address MY point about the Chinese bank loan and where it fits in with "der Mosh 'as got diss lads"?

We are trying to find that identity.

Moshiri - and the people around him - have made some poor decisions. That doesn't mean the intentions aren't good.

Hopefully, under Silva - and Brands - we will see a structure and style in place soon enough. At the moment, it looks like signing a load of south Americans, which I'm all for.

Why are you being so irrational and dismissive about it? Are you not capable of conceding anything in relation to any sort of progress then? You said he has done nothing to progress the club when this can be instantly disproved with a simple fact.

The season he took over we finished in 11th place. Last season we finished in 8th place so that is progress no matter how you look at it isn't it? To deny that is just an outright lie.

Moshiri has not come in and turned us in to an instant success. He has made some errors of judgement and come out with some embarrassing quotes. On the plus side he has changed us for the better in other aspects.

Before he came we were in dispute with Joe Anderson and LCC about Walton Hall Park. Once Moshiri arrived, Anderson and LCC were happy to try and work with EFC to try and progress the Stadium plans which is currently ongoing. We are far further down the line with that than we were before Moshiri arrived.

Moshiri has backed his managers with transfer funds. We have a large net spend this window again, and did do in January and have spent big money on transfers. Critics can point to their being an abundance of TV money etc but other clubs aren't exactly putting us to shame either despite also having TV money. Take Spurs for example.
Mate, he was supposed to be providing the turbo-charged booster to smash through the glass ceiling of the top 4. Look what we are though. Miles off...further off then ever.

We just had a transfer window where we had loan signings and free transfers making up over half of the incomings...and he's sold off a third of the squad...and the purchases were immediately covered by a debt taken out with a Chinese bank.

Sorry if I prefer to remain sceptical like.

Sorry Dave have to say a lot of this is rubbish. so all those years under BK Everton was a stable club and now is not, clarify please?? Bearing in mind you could not stand BK or even Johnson before! Do not understand your comment about player trading treasur trove?

To build a new stadium of course there will be debt can you say what the alternative is?

Anybody who thinks we were in a better place when we didn't have a pot to piss in; were stuck at a historic ground with little or no chance of developing it, possibly moving outside of the Liverpool boundary to Kirkby; whilst desperately asking for help from people like Phillip Green, are just plain loony. Yes we had a team punching well above its (financial) weight that would give anyone a game on their day but that is all it was. Moshiri and co have made some mistakes but I think they are getting closer all the time to improving things at Goodison. I'd rather be spending the dosh trying to get it right and making some errors, then never having it at all - had enough of being relative PL paupers for the best part of 30 years.

^^^^ This type of explanation is more thoughtful but still tends to add to the illusion that Moshiri is paying for everything. Look at how much we generate as a business from broadcasting, commercial and player transactions. THIS is where the substantive part of our spending is coming from...backed up by loans.

Can we please have a serioius debate on this and stop with the "Mosh has got this".

The only thing the Mosh has got as far as I'm concerned is a well oiled spin machine. He's 'kin ruined this club in two years. THAT is the reality.

In what way, oh you would have preferred to have BK stay on as the owner and no Mosh?

Don't see any problem with Moshiri. He has provided ample funds for managers. The only problem we have had is selection of staff. Koemans first season improved us from the mess Martinez left but then proceeding to mess up things himself.......rightly sacked. The hardest job is to hire the correct people and when he does hire them they come with a decent rep so not really a fault of Moshiris. He is searching for what is best for the Club. Regardless, he has provided funds for them and I cannot see what else he can do. Allardyce came in to steady the ship, he did albeit with 'orrible football so he is sacked and we start again. That is the way football is. Good owner to have anywhere as he is attempting to move us on.....he may do that he may not do that!!! but he is trying and do his best to get us out of the stagnation of the previous 20-30 years. Thumbs up for me

I said nearly exactly the same thing in the transfer thread, he takes action and backs his mangers. Only big mistake was the hiring of Walsh and koeman ( who’s stick was high) he then sacked everyone as all. As he seen it wasn’t working. Hired again and backed sam dispute knowing he would only be here for 6 months, hired and backed brands and Silva. Under bill we would not have been able to sack bobby because we couldn’t afford it and we could and probably would have gone into the championship IMO.

I'm not trumpeting Kenwright nor am I suggesting an owner pays the whole bill for a stadium.

I'm suggesting that the belief in Moshiri as a benefactor who has improbed Everton is strictly for the birds.

You have not cleared up your comment about player trading treasure trove, what the alternative is for the stadium other than borrowing, why is Everton not now a stable club??
