Newcastle are now a more attractive proposition than us. Another club we’re now behind in the pecking order.

Moshiri should’ve sold up as soon as he heard that they wanted to buy into a Premier League club.

If it is true that Qatar want a Premier League club, he should be banging on their door now.
Write to him mate , tell him you have it on good authority theres a chance he could make a quick buck ....he might take your well informed advice.

Shouldnt really fear other teams tho.

Its not about other teams, its about us improving, not many takeovers go as people planned, Moshiri has done nothing but throw money at us and to use your words, we arent any better off, Liverpool have spent 1.5bn to try and win the League, still waiting, money doesnt equal success, City are the reason FFP exists and VERY soon they will get utterly rammed for breaking ALL The rules.

But basically we shouldnt worry about anybody else, its Everton that needs to improve, if we can do that, it doesnt matter.

We have spent £300m on players since Moshiri took over. The issue has been who we allowed to spend the money. Yet apparently we’re getting left behind financially by Aston Villa now that they’re in the Premier League for the first time in 4 seasons.

Bigger stadium
One club city
Owner backed up by £118bn

Take your pick.

Resorting to insults, you sad little man.

Is he worth 118 billion? Is that reported anywhere other than the Sun? I have serious doubts he has that level of liquidity (his brother the Sheikhs wealth is 16 billion and he is supposedly worth more than this fella).

As for the rest we have a a far longer line of continual premier league football. We have consistently been in the top 8 for years and been in Europe on multiple times in the last 15 years, where I can't remember Newcastle being in Europe for 20 years. We also share a city and a wider footballing area with some of the biggest clubs in the world. Newcastle is a backwater by comparison.

Either which way, we have shown we are an attractive proposal. We pay good wages (so much so very few clubs seems happy to match our contracts for players). We have a fantastic DOF who has a clear plan. We have a good coach who seems a very natural fit to what we are trying to do. We play young players (2nd youngest squad in the league). We are widely reported as being backed by one of the wealthiest men in the world too (not that I believe it matters massively).

Newcastle can do as they wish. It's irrelevant. What is relevant is how well we spend the significant resources we have at our disposal. We will rise or fall on that basis.

It was in the press when he wanted to buy Liverpool....think the word was leaverage.

I'd be very wary of that. I thought the wealthiest bloke in th world had 100 billion. His cousin (who's the wealthier strand of the family) has 16 billion to his name. Tabloid reports can be sensationalist.

One thing I'm getting from this though, is thank god this fella hasn't bought Liverpool (or Manchester United!)

Really ?

English football has never been in a stronger position at any time .....ever.

For the top 6 clubs maybe but what enjoyment/expectation do you or I or fans of clubs of Crystal Palace, West Ham, Watford really have other than to get to 40 points every season? Leicester were literally a freak one in a hundred season wonder.

We make up the numbers in the modern game and the only small consolation was 7th and the odd european adventure- take that away with another oil backed club muscling in and whats left?

People may think im being drastic but its true forget ever seeing the Blues in Europe again and any hope of winning a cup is made that much harder with a possible further Man City thrown into the mix.

Its become a farce for the majority of clubs in this league - what have our fanbase had since post Man City to enjoy?

be interesting to see how long it takes them to improve on the pitch

Moshiri been here over 3 years and weve stood still or slightly regressed.
They’ll have the money for the very, very best. I’d say they’ll definitely improve at a much faster rate.

They’ll be near on certs for 7th or 8th next season.
