Would that be the ridiculous insistence that the stadium move was guaranteed before he would sell the remainder of his, and others, shares?

What a clown eh...

The stadium move isnt guaranteed mate and if it falls through what good does it do having BK still around holding a minority stake?

Make no mistake those terms were made to keep him on as Chairman - I guarantee once his shares are sold he'll stay on in some form of honorary chairman position or somthing - its his train set and he still has fans fooled even after two decades of failure.

Think it was the other way round. 1st purchase was that 49.9%, all to do with charges and banks and that. Then he could buy more at a pre arranged price, then when he got to sommet like 75% everyone has to lob him their shares. At the same price.

Stadium was the deal to release the last of the shares

FFP isnt worth the paper its written on.

PSG couldn't have signed Neymar if it was and Citys owner's own companies couldn't sponser his club to the tune of millions etc.

When there are rules you'll always get those finding loopholes to avoid them.

Ah ok, you mean like Manchester City have done and are now under serious investigation that may see their manager leave and them be booted out of the CL? Potential points deduction etc? Even the threat of investigation has seen them scale spending back enormously.

Manchester City's spending, for which they have been highlighted sat around 100-200 million pounds per season. They had a new stadium and easy infrastructure to scale spending up.

So what we have, in a concrete sense, is spending in real terms of between 100-200 million pounds per season has seen City face very serious investigation (with the conclusions yet to be seen). Given UEFA have set a precedent it is now likely they will be much much hotter on sides looking to "find loopholes" and the leniency City were shown will not be repeated.

So spending around 100-150 million in real terms is about as much as they can feasibly spend per season. Thats at the upper limit.

Funnily enough, what Wolves are spending despite suggestions they would do a Manchester City 12 months ago.

Never argue with an idiot.
They will drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

Lets wait and see what they do. Usmanov/Moshiri have spent between 100-200 million per season. Lets wait and see if they outspend us before we start making judgements. I heard Wolves would. There was lots of talk. Lots of hysteria in the press. It didn't translate into reality.

I think the Kopite infested media would have you believe that FFP will stop Man City from spending but its completely false - City wont spend big because they dont need to at present.

If come next season they finish 4th with a few top stars leaving/retiring make no mistake they would spend whatever it took to bolster the squad and get another state sponser to prop them up.

The kopite infested media are leading the calls for points deduction thats true. What's not true is they are misrepresenting UEFA's investigation into City. It's not going away.

They have massively pulled in the spending. Maybe it's a coincidence that it coincides with the investigation. I suspect they are linked.

As for Newcastle. That's perhaps fair. They need to increase their performance by 75% to get anywhere close to being in the top 4. That is highly unlikely to happen.

To be blunt, if another club try to pull another state sponsor stunt I would rule out no option. Long term ban from Europe. Points deduction. Transfer ban etc.The top teams will insist upon it (which is also driving whats happening on City). The owners will not want to risk that.
