West Ham appointed a manager with a better record then we ever seem too but they have ambition, even if they are rubbish and fail

They appointed a washed up old fraud who had only won one proper trophy in his career (that was given to him by Steven Gerrard slipping over), retired to China and was only tempted back by being made the 4th highest paid manager in the world. That is not ambition.

When you see what Daniel Levy has done today albeit a gamble of sorts, it makes you realise something our current owner has so far failed to deliver in any way shape or form.
He (levy) has given Spurs fans a big event invigorating moment - the kind that makes you excited and makes you feel your next game can't come quick enough.
It's years and years since any Everton owners actions has made me feel like that, maybe Kanchelskis or Speed signing or lesser ones like Gazza's brief cameo or Fergusons return.
Our owners dealings and actions are so mundane and predictable its painful.

Tbh Pocchetino gave them a bigger event by getting to the CL final for the first time

Agree completely the entire set up at Spurs has evolved over the past few years into a sharp edged modern operation whereas we continue to look like befuddled amateurs. Very dispiriting

We also haven't had consistency in the playing staff integrating 4 of 5 players every season doesn't allow chemistry to develop, we started looking good at the end of last season had we kept the same side we'd be doing alot better but missing out on Zouma was a disaster as he and Kean had a good understanding after 3 quarters of a season. We could spend another billion in January and look worse, can't buy chemistry that takes time.
That's down to the manager, if you keep buying crap unproven managers what do you expect.

If you told some of the top managers you would get over 400m to spend in 3 seasons who would get some takers. The owner hasn't got a clue, just look at some of his comments over the years.

While we appointed someone who got a premier League team relegated and the best team he managed was Watford, and has leaked goals which ever team he has managed

We had the man in place in Martinez. I just think the mistake that Moshiri made was giving into the massive pressure of the fan base and media to let him go as a sign of the new era of ownership. Yes there were rocky times and awful derby performances in RM's three seasons in charge but the fact of the matter is that he was trying to implement a much more attractive and progressive offensive style of game on a shoe string budget with a group of players that were drilled by Moyes in the rigid structures and negative (yet reasonably effective) style of game. When FM came in, if Martinez was given the funds that the managers since him had to spend (plus that which was wasted on multiple manager payoffs) we'd be looking more like Leicester or dare I say it Spurs of the last few seasons than this one that has no style of play and is wallowing in mediocrity with no light at the end of the tunnel.
