You are truly clueless mate, if you believe USM will ever be involved with sponsorship of football in the UK ever again.

The brand along with many other Russian/oligarch linked brands is tainted beyond belief, bigger stains on the game then the skidders are in your jockey shorts.

Your suggesting USM's future with Everton at being 50/50 is entirely predicated upon the announcement that the club made saying all sponsorships were 'suspended'.
Purely a 'political' statement to stop certain sections of the fanbase from panicking if they'd been bluntly honest in saying scrapped.

If I were you, I'd stop pinning all your hopes on USM/Usmanov ever being involved with Everton and use your time more productively.

No one knows mate.

The sanctions on Russian Oligarchs / businesses are based more on pressuring Putin/The Kremin.

If the conflict ended tomorrow what purposes would further sanctions serve?

McDonalds wont keep their doors shut to serving Russians in Moscow.

Putin and his Kremlin advisors may still be in hot water but I dont see how a ceasefire wouldn't put an end to the economic sanctions currently in place, in fact Putin would be likely to factor that into any kind of "peace talks".

You are an utterly delusional little child.

Are people seriously suggesting people at EFC will be trying to circumnavigate sanctions on Usmanov in order for him to keep pumping money into the club? This isn't some creative accounting we're talking about. It's frankly a ridiculous suggestion. Usmanov will be nowhere near EFC until he's no longer on the sanctions list anywhere in the west.
Spot on , it’s them who should be called crackers , not you mate .

Moshiri isnt a proven failure though, just because you and others dont like him is for the birds.

Not saying he's been a success as he hasn't but he hasn't been a failure either - we were a midtable club making up the numbers when he arrived and we are still one now but with a world class stadium being built to look forward to.
He's a disaster, he's made us a laughing stock and, if the stadium is ever finished, it won't be him who pays for it, it will be the club and it may well bankrupt us if we are playing championship football, or below.

We may stay up, we may get more backers or a new owner, but, if we do, it will be more by luck than better judgement. I think you've backed the wrong horse again.

I was made up when he took over, but, by the time we appointed Allardyce, I knew he was a biff.

You'll be labelled clueless for saying that, but its certainly a possibility.

I would say USM's future at EFC is 50/50 at present.

If the conflict in Ukraine ended tomorrow the media/political interest in hammering Russian businessmen/businesses will die down pretty quickly - just look at Covid, we've gone from 24/7 news coverage, talk of mandatory vaccinations to back to normal/next to no coverage in the space of months as the latest hot topic consumes everyones interest.

Well its been suspended not terminated.

Logically you would say its 50/50 at this stage considering a full decision hasn't been made one way or another.

you would say the final decision will depend on what happens in Ukraine in the coming months / the political climate towards Russia.

Anyone suggesting a sure thing one way or another has zero evidence that backs there stance up.

Anyone suggesting otherwise is doing so on their own opinion as they have zero evidence that backs there stance up.

If you think it's 50:50 whether we bring back sponsors who are on the sanctions list for most of the western world, then you are extremely delusional.

Using the word logically in a post does not mean that your post follows any logic.

Because of the conflict in Ukraine.

If that conflict ends do sanctions continue?

Do Mcdonalds never open their doors in Russia again?

USM are not being sanctioned because they are bombing Ukranian hospitals, they are being sanctioned to try squeeze Russia/Putin and force an end to the conflict rather than getting militarily involved via NATO.

For the foreseeable, yes. It will be years.

Do you not realise sanctions imposed on countries for wars can last decades? They will be kept as a deterrent for the future.

Exactly.

can/could/maybe/possibly/potentially

Russia isn't a North Korea or Iraq/Iran type country - they are massive global players with billions pumped into the west particularly the UK.

If Putin was to hold peace talks and agree to withdraw troops if all sanctions were lifted - do you not believe the West would agree to that?

At this stage it could go either way hence why the clubs future is up in the air imo.

Those throwing petty insults around with zero evidence to back up their points are acting silly.

I'm leaving this here, I've read enough. Have a good night.

Yes, sanctions can last for years mate on a country. Ask North Korea, Iran, Cuba, and numerous African countries. Putin/Russia will need to punished in the eyes of the west.

Mcdonalds won't want to have their brand name associated with a warmonger in Putin or Russia as it's bad for business. Sure eventually things might change but you are talking a long long way off.
