So you are contending that the 2nd largest shareholder in Arsenal and the largest shareholder in Everton are willingly conspiring against Premier League rules?

In a word. No. They're friends. No doubt Usmanov no doubt has had somethings to say... but involvement in the day to day running of EFC?

No chance!

Moshiri doesn't do day to day things. He's all about strategic leadership.

I'll tell you were it's not right mate: this mush has walked in and took effective control through his purchase of more shares than anyone else and waltzed right back out again without nothing much more than some vague remark of getting behind the club.

18 months he and his team have been working on this: no plan of action or addressing of the outstanding issues - even in broad brush strokes - AT ALL.

You could just see the Kopites putting up with that couldn't you?

Never mind Martinez and Kenwright, this new feller has been taking the piss.
@davek ... I know you want him to be involved day to day mate and you want certain board members to be booted out.

But that has NEVER been Moshiri's style.

It's not going to happen. Moshiri also isn't going to be making public statements when there is no real need to.

He's not an EFC board member and as such really shouldnt be doing that anyway as @The Esk will confirm. Both legally and from a EFC business perspective.

When Moshiri has something he needs to say. He will say it.

There really is no panic as his right hand man (now on the EFC board) is on the case.

From October 2010, John W Henry:

"We have a lot of work to do and I can't tell you how happy I am that we've finally got to this point," he said. He was unwilling to commit himself on plans for investment in new players or in a new, larger stadium. "It's too early to say what we're going to do," he said, "but obviously we're here to win and we'll do whatever is necessary."
Using actual facts and historical events as evidence? Well that just isn't sporting.

As a significant owner of one Premier League club you have to sign a declaration confirming you or any connected parties have any no interest whatsoever in any other club.

Owners of clubs can talk to each other. However an acid test would be if Usmanov could be seen to have material influence on the day to day decisions of EFC.

Since Moshiri is no longer a shareholder in related holding companies that own other clubs.

Legally speaking anyone thinking they could prove a lack of independence I say:

Good luck with that.

It's nonsense. It's also another reason that Moshiri has appointed a proxy onto the EFC board.

Moshiri can be hands off. Other than strategic direction via his investment vehicle.

That's the best legal position to be in

Given his vast joint interests with Usmanov in other unrelated businesses (energy and steel)

He has use of technology. It's not difficult to take time out counting his money to put together an interview with the club or a broad sheet.

I dunno, maybe it's just me, but I think when someone walks into and takes control of a 138 year old institution and the 4th most successful football club in the world''s biggest league, I expect them to have more to say than "I am part of this family now".

We need a damn sight more than that. Imagine United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal after a de facto take over and then it all goes completely silent with no explanation of what the plan is?

Have to agree with this 100%.

Everything else is speculation and we are getting way ahead of our selves. transfers, stadiums, I havnt heard anything concrete on that these are strategic objectives. I also don't count a half pissed interview with Bill as a statement of intent.

I'm not asking for blue prints, targets or even timelines just a philosphey and objectives on how he wants to develop the club long term,

I would imagine you'll get all that after the season.

But that's the point really we just don't know and guessing, as far as I can see everything at the moment is just speculation, transfers, stadiums.

Nothing I've seen or heard concretely since his arrival for him or anyone else makes me think these things are now a given.

Now we well splurge in he transfer window and no doubt we will get carried away here, even so, I'll still be waiting for the set of accounts for that period.

I think the prudent option is to be cautious until proven elswise.

So in response to @davek 's demands and to help put to bed some of the things @The Esk has already addressed

You would like another 'OPEN LETTER' somethink like he penned in 2012 except without some of the angst?

I'm sure he will be doing that in due course.

His right hand man has no doubt been fact finding in the past few weeks. Perhaps some of it is to not distract from preparations for the Semi Final ???

An EFC OPEN LETTER addressing his long term vision for the club similar to his previously stated philosophy would be fairly good to read

I can't disagree with you that everything has been speculation thus far, but I also think the most logical time to make the sort of statements about long term vision and goals should be after the season. I would imagine one of the long term decisions would be the manager. I would also imagine that he is evaluating him until the end of the season.

The specifics and details are of course likely to be to delicate for media or public consumption of course, budgets, objective plans, timelines etc. I'm not asking the man for a presentation of a five year strategy.

I just want a sense of his corporate objectives, business plan and target areas for progress and a sense of his commitment being subjective or objective. I.e. a key target may be commercial revenue, infrastructure development, progressing financial funding models, sponsorship, marketing, stadium development, infrastructure, funding models- the areas for short and long Term planning. An outline of boad philosphey.

I still won't judge until accounts, I'm wholly anticipating possibly 100mill in sales, certainly 50mill. This summer so how indicative this may be of squad funding will need to br analysed in the long term. The Learner boom and bust model comes into play here.

At the moment we don't have any of this and are presuming an awful lot. With nothing to base that on except our own excitement based on fatigue in the previous owners.

I think Dave has a point, if similar investment happened at a different club,

Not really.

Unlike Randy Lerner ...

Mr Moshiri has been a previous investor in football club(s) and importantly has gone on public record in relation to some of his views on how to run a football club and importantly how to finance stadium developments.

Unlike other unknown or inexperienced investors - Mr Moshiri has significant experience and these public statements (the 2012 one in particular) give a good indication of what he will try and do at EFC.

I do think however, he will be public in due course on the matter.
