Standard procedure not to relieve the current position holder until the correct successor has been identified and recruited.

No doubt the new investor is actively pursuing the latter.

Sacking Martinez now would purely be for cosmetic reasons. He is a dead man walking, he knows it, Bill knows it, the players know it.

To say the chairman of the football club has no power whatsoever is as wide of the mark as saying he is the one who is making the decision to keep Martinez.

Moshiri has the shares, the money and the power. Bill is essentially just a honouray and advisory figure now.

Same happens at many clubs . The Chairman at Arsenal and Chelsea also hold no power.

Theoretical of course, but as long as BK is Chairman, in accordance with the Articles of Association he has the casting vote if it's a 2 all draw at board level.
If he used it to go against Mr Moshiri's wishes think I'm right in saying that Mr Moshiri should be able to call an EGM (Companies Act 2006)with a motion of no confidence and needs the backing of the owners of 36 shares to get the motion passed.
Can't see Abercromby backing BK against the guy who has a call option (presumably) for his shares which would gross him about 10m. This assumes that Abercromby still owns 1900+ shares.
Bored.

What decision? No PUBLIC decision has been made. However, its almost a certainty a private decision has already been made. By the man holding all the cards:

Mr Moshiri.

Just because its not happening on your timescale doesn't mean its not happening on the timescale of the man in charge.

Given that Moshiri is the major shareholder. Kenwright will no doubt take that into consideration. Since as well as making decisions for the benefit of the business the chairman has a duty to prevent strife in the boardroom.

There is lots of speculation on here. About decisions having been/not having been made.

None of it accurate.

None of it relates to how a business operates.
