It could be part of an exit strategy for Usmanov, forced to jump early by the American interest. That all might take time.

The only worry for me is that the word 'Investment' rather than 'Owner' has been bandied around a lot in the run up to this. Could be awhile before we have clarity.

This is what a R's said to me and it's suit them as it not a good outlook for us. But how would buying us force kroneke to sell his shares Usmanov?

Yes it is an unlikely but not impossible scenario. He wouldn't force him but it would put pressure on him. What would the pressure be? Who knows. fan pressure they they let two wealthy partners leave the club? A panic that Usmanov might withdraw? In all likelihood I don't think it would work, Kroenke seems very happy to keep the club. Also Moshiri has been tracking Everton for a while and I can't see it just being solely a gesture to pressure Arsenal. Finally even if it were, it would be silly to just throw away Everton. It represents a very good opportunity. Usmanov would have a controlling overview of two clubs. Deeply unethical but I shouldn't imagine it would bother him too much.

As for the rs I wouldn't worry too much about them. It will start to become clear we have hit the jackpot compared to them. Even as things stand, in the worst case scenario (beyond the above, hugely unlikely he fire sells us to a negative party) that it is just Moshiri. We have a partner in the business who is wealthier than their current ownership. he has put money towards a new ground. We have also kept an Evertonian involved with the club, probably as chairman.

Thats the worst case scenario. A wealthier board, no debt with an Evertonian and local fan as chairman.

Great post. Its seems that Usmanov is still in the same position at arsenal as he only bought the other half of shares at red and white holdings so he not really gained any influence and can't see him with no control at one club while his business partner is a major shareholder at Everton. Like you said moshiri might jsut wanted to go alone.

Yes ignore the rs assertions that USmanov buying Moshiri shares is some cast iron guarantee that he is committed to them. It is illogical.

The way business relationships work, you often have partners and they are based on loyalty. They may view their combined shares as one and the same, like how you might view shared ownership with a family member. Think of this as you share a mortgage with your brother. He buys you out and you use the money to go and invest in a smaller property but a bigger share in it. It doesn't mean he is any closer to owning the house outright.

I didn't say it was, but we do have spending power now and will be linked to players, like it or not it will happen.

I'm fully aware of that it's not a City or Chelsea style takeover but your a bit dim if you think that we won't be linked to every tom, [Poor language removed] and harry in the media.

So kindly stop talking down to people like you know whats going to happen because you know as much as the rest of us.

mods, what did Richard do wrong !!!!!:)

go back a few months. Now imagine someone had made a post along the lines of....... "I hope Bill sells to a guy who is a Billionaire, who understands English football, has his fingers in many business ventures, could use his standing to get decent sponsors in, will look at the stadium issue in a serious way, and is willing to invest an amount that will improve the squad and help us achieve more"

We would have all laughed...Who is this wonder guy and does one really exist ha ha.

Well he does and today he is in charge of Everton. It will not be a bankrolling from him, Messi ain't joining us. But the future looks a lot better than it did yesterday morning. The skies certainly are blue today in more ways than one.

I for one am looking forward to Moshy being in charge.

Apologies for the long posts. Here are extracts from RAWK. Beyond the laughter there are some concerned posters on there;

"Far more to this than it currently looks, this I believe is just the beginning.
Moshiri and Usmanov are pretty much joined at the hip, always have been.

They invested in Arsenal together and they are also business partners in many other projects. I think it's pretty clear what is going on here.

Both Moshiri and Usmanov have desperately been trying to get a controlling stake at Arsenal for some time, but unfortunately for them, Kroenke won't budge an inch and refuses to sell to them.

Kroenke has made it clear he sees Arsenal as a long term project for himself and ultimately his children. Unfortunately for Arsenal, Kroenke is nowhere near as ambitious as Usmanov and Moshiri and the Arsenal fans seem to know that.

Now it seems Moshiri and Usmanov have given up the ghost and are cutting and running, and we could be the ones to benefit from their vision and ambitious plans.

Moshiri "easily" sells his shares to his friend and immediately invests in Everton with Usmanovs money, or that should be a fraction of his money.

Moshiri hasn't paid the 200 million to Everton that he received for his Arsenal shares as was originally thought, he's agreed to pay much much lower than that (anywhere between 30-90 million depending on which source you believe), and the rest that was originally going to be paid will instantly put the wheels in motion towards the construction of a new stadium.

Kenwright knows that a new stadium is a must, and this was part of the negotiations.

Now Moshiri has his foot in the door, don't be surprised to see his business partnership with Usmanov reunited in the coming months."

"I just can't see him sitting on his hands there whilst his long time business partner and best friend has control of a premiership club, something they've both being trying to a achieve at Arsenal for some time. Especially as he's getting no encouragement or has no say in the running of the club.

It was easy for Usmanov to buy Moshri's shares yesterday allowing there partnership to break and Moshri to buy Everton. It would not surprise me at all to see him now sell his shares over the next few months and join him there now time is on there side.

These could be dangerous owners. They've been trying to get Arsenal to spend big for years and I get the feeling they're looking for a club as a status symbol not something to make money from, very similar to what Abromavic did and Usmanov blows Abromavic out the water money wise."

"If his partner Usmanov gets involved, which wouldn't be surprising at all, it'll be fantastic for them.

Both Moshri and Usmanov have wanted to spend big and use Arsenal as a status symbol for sometime but haven't been allowed to do so by the old board there. I think the 2 of them may have decided they've had enough now and we'll buy someone else.

Moshri sells his shares to his partner yesterday and buys Everton today. It would not surprise me at all to see Usmanov sell his now that they've got their foot in the door.

They've both being major shareholders without a voice for too long. This looks like the chance they've been waiting for IMO."

You have to them credit, it's some good analysis of our potential situation.

I disagree. Moshiri will not be spending his own money on transfers.
