Completely apathetic towards it tbh. Guess I'm just conditioned to expecting and accepting consistent mediocrity to the point where I don't get excited/angry about almost anything the club does.
Maybe in the face of absolute adversity, he'll actually do some good here. But far more likely he'll be gone within 2 years and the RS will hang it over our heads for years how bad he made us.
 
He is the one manager that I never wanted anywhere near my club it's an absolute joke, the board are making a very big mistake. But the small club quote from years ago has never been more true, that's exactly what we are. Look at the teams that have won things since we last did, the mighty Swansea, Birmingham and so on. Leicester have won the Premier League, F.A Cup and the League cup in that time, we have become a joke of a club I have been going to Goodison since I was 9yrs old and I am now 72 and I have never felt so fed up with being a blue.

He tried to clear up the small club comment by saying that he was trying to say we're a small team, not a small club. Because apparently small teams dont play for wins and are happy with draws.

How is that any different? If anything he's reiterated his previous comment.

Pretty much.

The reality is we have a section of our fanbase who cling to the smallest things, we’ve also got a section who hate Liverpool more than they love Everton (or it feels that way!) and he’s got that association.

No matter how well we do, he still did the unthinkable in Istanbul, still called us small, still has a positive association with our neighbours.

It will take a League win to get all the fans on board.

Im not happy about it, it’s just a timid appointment.

Not at all - but, in context, this is very minor in the scheme of atrocities perpetrated against Evertonians BY Evertonians over the last 20 years. In summary, people have left it far too late to cry wolf when the real wolf has been wearing sheep's clothing since 1999.
