After the 5-0 drubbing of Tranmere Rovers, Fylde travelled to Telford were they picked up a convincing victory. The strike partnership of Ellis Simms and Danny Rowe was in effect as Simms got two and Rowe got the other. The Rowe and Simms partnership continued against Gateshead, the strikers put The Coasters 2-0 up inside the first 20 minutes. Gateshead pulled one back on the 40th minute mark to give them hope but in the third minute of first half stoppage time, Simms put the ball across the six yard box for Stephen Dooley to tap in. Defender Kieran Kennedy slipped the ball past his own keeper to make it four but Gateshead didn't say die and the excellent performance from Fylde's back line kept the side from the tyne out of the game. Another excellent performance.

Northampton Town were trying to adjust to life outside of the football league and came into the game 14th in the table. Danny Rowe grabbed the only goal of the game with an acute finish inside the area and Northampton really struggled to have an impact. It wasn't a particularly great day or Fylde as they misplaced many passes in the opposition half and were fortunate Northampton had a bit of an off day.

The game at Solihull will feel more like a defeat. Fylde took an early lead as a shot in into the box cannoned off Harry Flowers and made its way into the goal. So far so good for Fylde as they looked to keep their impressive run at the top going but in this game they could not really get going and in the 95th minute, Jonathan Russell brought the ball forward with no present challenge from a single Fylde player. The goal opened up for him and he curled one round the defence and past the keeper. Fylde were camped in their box and did not react to the incoming shot. The game finished 1-1 with a disappointed Ferguson bemoaning to the fourth official for his whistle to have been blown long before the shot was taken.

We could have seen one of the games of the season at Harrogate, as Fylde took the lead through new signing Oliver Sarkic in the 2nd minute. A lapse in concentration saw Harrogate equalise in the 4th minute shortly followed by a second in the 7th. Sarkic looked hungry for more and in the 41st minute got goal side of his marker and powered a shot past the keeper to level the scoreline. Two minutes into first half injury time saw Chris Duggan's shot roll past Russell Griffith's to take Harrogate into half-time at 3-2. Fylde came out more attacking in the second half but it wasn't until the 70th minute until we got the equaliser. Sarkic put Jaidon Anthony through one on one and the youngster finished nicely. It wasn't over yet, Danny Rowe received the ball to feet in the 76th minute but was tripped by Thompson who conceded a silly penalty by leaving his foot in. Rowe wanted to take the kick but Sarkic took the ball and as Fylde fans watched on through their fingers, he put the ball powerfully into the back of the net to give himself his first hat-trick for The Coasters and his third of the season. Harrogate looked tired and were running on empty, as the game sat at 4-3, it was still up for grabs. Reid played the ball back to Griffiths who hit it first time onto the right wing for Anthony to run onto. Anthony crossed the half way line and played a long ball for Sarkic to chase, Sarkic got there and crossed into the penalty area to the head of Danny Rowe who belted it past goalkeeper Lewis Ward and sealed the game 5-3. What a victory!

DF: We've found a system that works for us, after playing with a sole striker for the last three seasons we have more quality up front and are effective when we play two. Ellis Simms has got off to a fantastic start and this is the season he will make a name for himself. Sarkic is still settling into the squad, It's not easy for a player to come into this division after playing in Portugal, it's more physical here but he grabbed a hat-trick today and I want him to build on that. There's competition for places and no spot is guaranteed. It's a long season as we know and we have to rotate. We have the quality at this club and the targets are set for what we want to achieve.

Barrow were the next unfortunate visitors to Mill Farm as Fylde brushed them aside quite easily. Danny Rowe scored from the spot after Oliver Sarkic was fouled and Stephen Dooley scored a great goal coming in from the left unmarked to make it 2-0 before the end. Danny Rowe got his second of the game late on keeping The Coasters on top.

York City are not a team to be ignored as promotion candidates as they put in an excellent attacking display beat Fylde 4-2. Danny Rowe opened the scoring after Danny Rowe powered home a header from a Wright-Phillips cross to give Fylde an early lead. It wasn't for long and every time York got forward they were putting the Fylde defence under pressure. O'Nien scored twice, both from range and not long after half-time Fylde trailed the game 3-1. Fylde struggled to get out of their own half and Hughes made it 4 with an effort from outside the box that bobbled past keeper Russell Griffiths. As the rain belted down in Yorkshire, Hardy crossed low for Rowe to strike past the York keeper but it wasn't enough to spark a fight back. Fylde failed to threaten after that and York deserved all 3 points.

54431

It was back to Mill Farm for some Tuesday night football and James Hardy got the only goal of the game after making his first start of the season since returning from injury. Oliver Sarkic had a chance to make it 2 from the spot in the 88th minute and put the game to bed but the keeper saved it giving Eastleigh a last minute chance to salvage a point but the Fylde defence dealt with all aerial balls into the box as we went into stoppage time.

54433

It seems Fylde have a hard time playing away at fellow promotion chasers and Maidstone had a relatively easy victory at home to Fylde. With goals coming in each half, Fylde struggled to make an impact and Maidstone tokk their place at the top of the table.

54432

After being relegated to the National League, Macclesfield have not adjusted to the division and found themselves around the relegation places. Fylde got their act together in this one and although the goal came late on, they created some very good chances throughout the game. Stephen Dooley done what he does best and drifted in from the left wing to strike a home a great left footed shot into the bottom corner. A good away win for Fylde and a good performance to match. Still a long way to go in this league.

54434

The league table begins to take its shape as we approach the first quarter of the campaign. Fylde sit in second suffering two defeats from the first 11 games. Macclesfield and Northampton Town struggle around the bottom and have witnessed first hand this league is not easy. Tranmere are also in a struggling position.
