Foxtel loses EPL to Optus

I've had Optus up and running for weeks, the EPL channel, 113, has been showing replays and docos and the picture quality is fine.

I've kept Foxtel because it has stuff I want to keep including beINSPORTS which showed all of our UK friendlies live.

Reason I'm here is to tell anyone who has Foxtel and doesn't know, that the Man Utd channel, 518, is showing the Wayne Rooney
testimonial v Everton on Thursday morning. I say showing, but the guide has it as a preview at 4.30 am and then a radio commentary.

No, I don't get it either, but it says the match will be shown at 9.00am. It will be replayed a few times after that.

Just thought I'd tell yer.

Replay is on at 9am. And then every couple of hours after that it seems.

Currently showing Everton Spurs as the classic match. Not sure exactly what year off hand, but Bily is playing for us.
0-0 after 30 mins

Watching some of the Chelsea/Liverpool/MUTV on Bein the last few weeks. Just great for the supporters of those clubs.
How great would it be to have an Everton 24/7 channel at some stage in the future?

Do the players get blurry when running for anyone else on the fetch mini on the TV? Raised it on whirlpool and apparently that is the case with it only being 720p quality.
Damn annoying.

It doesn't look as though their matches will be shown, as claimed by Foxtel. Two of them are advertising radio coverage, like the Rooney
Testamonial, and Chelsea TV, I think, isn't televising at all.

I'm still not sure how the Optus coverage will work, yet. I know that the Hull - Leicester and Sunderland - Man City games will be on
live on channel 113 - Optus1, followed by replays of every other match except Everton - Spurs through the morning. The Everton - Spurs
match is scheduled for replay at about 1.00pm on Monday.

They're telling us that there are ten designated Premier League channels to show each game live - Optus1,2,3,4 etc, but they haven't come on
air yet and it's 3,15pm Saturday arvo.

Maybe it will give you the option to pick a match at midnight on 113, like the Foxtel viewers choice thingy. I just hope I can record it, not an
option on viewers choice, because I often do that and watch it in the morning, especially when it gets to 2.00am kick offs.

You'd think they'd tell us exactly what and when things will happen and not make us wait until kick off to work it out.

Hang on I'll cut and paste what I was told on whirlpool...

Channel 113 for the live channel. Channels 980-989 for multiple games at the same time.

My understanding is the minute the live match ends tonight it becomes available 'on demand' so no need to wait until a replay on Monday.

Anyway, the players looked blurry when running yesterday when I tried the mini out. Not impressed if it remains difficult on the eyes like this permanently.
