I've done coaching, i went to the states last year and although their kids aren't at the standards that ours are, their coaching methods are a lot better, along with their facilities - thats why i believe they will win a world cup within the next 20 years.

This country simply haven't got the same quality of coaching or any strategy for development for the future. Of course their will be the odd player who comes through who is class, we are all excited about Rodwell and Arsenal have Wilkshire, but when was the last time England, Scotland, Wales & Ireland produced a Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Arteta, players with real technical ability. The nearest thing they have ever come is Gascoigne.

Until the coaching and development from grassroots upwards changes, and when the FA put development before £££, the home countries will never be a true force.

You ripped down your Gerrard poster yet lad?

Its this type of media driven witch hunt which doesn't serve England well, you need to get over it. Look at the previous managers: McLaren, Erikkson, Keegan, Hoddle: they've all been hounded out by a blood thirsty public and media.

Maybe some self realisation that England aren't as good as they would like to think they are, and a long term strategy would be the way forward. The Golden Generation (sniggers*) are coming to an end now, so the next job is to build on.

Up until three weeks ago Capello was the messiah and all that, one [Poor language removed] tournament shouldn't ruin a really good qualifying campaign prior to that. Every manager needs time, was you shouting for Moyes' head in 2005 lid?

I'm trying to help you here like.

England have a fantastic team on paper, unfortantly for us, its only good on paper or fifa. there crap in real life. big headed over payed players who don't care remotaly for England. proved by Rooney after the Algeria game

They're arsed about their autobiographies, and their lives far removed from what you or I know. And yet plenty of punters will still buy their over priced autobiographies.

You might as well write "I'm normal me, just like you" and repeat for about 400 pages.

I don't think they are that fantastic.

For instance, look at England's strikers compared to Argentina;

England: Rooney, Defoe, Heskey, Crouch

Argentina: Higuian, Messi, Aguero, Tevez, Milito

Gerrard and Lampard are both paid over 100k a week an the 2 best midfielders in the prem. score on avarge 40 goals a season between themselves, Yet when it comes to England, they cant play together? why not, there the best in the professtion we got, yet they can't play together.

Would have agreed with you, then he went and selected his squad (bad enough that) and you find out scholes was also asked to join the squad (at least he had the dignity to turn it down and said it was unfair to players who got hem there). It struck me he was on drugs. His first team selection was shambolic and he was to stubborn to change it even when obvious it didnt work. I had england to get to the last four before he named his squad but he just didnt pick the most suitable 22 players to play as a team in england. Very poor today and the WC wont be as interesting with them gone. I think capello should go as he didnt earn his wages

And people wonder why some English citizens find it difficult to be patriotic through football? – It’s because some find it difficult to be represented by such an egoistic, pack of incompetent, half-hearted tools. Almost every single player is a pillock. You’d need to be fickle to look beyond the character in the shirt and back the badge so easily. Sure you want to be patriotic and want England to do well, but when the player in the shirt isn’t – what’s the point?

Analyse the reaction to that ruled out goal. Complete travesty of justice. Imagine that happened in a massive game to Chelsea or Liverpool. Lampard, Terry and Gerrard would rightly be completely up in arms for their club. They’d react in a similar manner as Mexico did against Argentina. With England, they barely battered an eye lid. Why? How can they take it on the chin so easily at International level, but whinge, moan and cry at club level? – It makes you wonder…

As I’m typing this, I hear Terry spouting his typical charade “We were simply beaten by a better side today. No excuses, we go away from here an analyse out performances and come back next year”

Germany aren’t ‘simply’ a better side. As for ‘no excuses’, they’re certainly non for your pathetic performance. It was as if he was on a one man mission to sabotage Capello for removing his captaincy and as for “we go away from here and analyse out performance….”. I can’t see him losing much sleep at being inexplicably at fault for opening two goals while on a luxury holiday and come back next year? – it’s every four you balloon.

Gerrard epitomised England for me shortly after it was 3-1. Gerrard collected it 10/15 yards into Englands half, laid it off and then continued to stroll, literally stroll, making absolutely no effort to support any attack whatsoever. Criminal. Cashley Cole didn’t want to be there from the start, no doubt wanting to be on holiday and Gareth Barrys lack of effort throughout was astonishing. For the fourth I believe, he just seemed to give up.

There needs to be an entire revamp of the squad. Preparation for the next world cup needs to start now. One without the failed, ‘golden generation’ of Lampard, Gerrard.. That should be the last time some of them players represent England. Take the Maradona approach and call up every Tom, Dick and Harry until you get it right if needs be. Get Harry Redknapp in, or even someone like Slaven Bilic and let them use the Euros to breed a new team, ideology and system. One with balance. Mould a player to make that left side their own.

That entire England set up is rotten to the core. If failing for the Euros didn’t convince you, then surely that World Cup ‘effort’ has.

This "Golden Generation" can **** right off, especially Lampard. I like Cappello but the pressure got to even him picking the squad....no Johnson, Parker, Jagielka etc.

I just hope the over the line "goal" is the final straw that brings in technology which will benefit the likes of EFC on a weekly basis and put the likes of the RS even further away from their dreams of success.

To Ghost: they are not worthy of a wank.
