This "Golden Generation" can **** right off, especially Lampard. I like Cappello but the pressure got to even him picking the squad....no Johnson, Parker, Jagielka etc.

I just hope the over the line "goal" is the final straw that brings in technology which will benefit the likes of EFC on a weekly basis and put the likes of the RS even further away from their dreams of success.

Hoped that would happen when the french denied us our chance of visiting south africa but sadly untill it happens to france platini will fight it all the way

To Ghost: they are not worthy of a wank.

Spot on, Capello must be on serious drugs to be picking Upson and Carragher ahead of Jags. I'm off to find some beach!

Lets not overlook glen johnson in this charade, germany broke away twice on our right hand side and that hillbilly was nowhere to be seen.
John terry Mathew upson a comedy double act.
England are [Poor language removed],utter [Poor language removed],thats the worst england squad ever to go to the world cup finals, ever !!

It's building....soon there will be no opportunity for the likes of Thomas, Poll, Clattenberg and Collina to have their momentary "abherations" which coincidentally go against certain classes of teams.

It's easy to call this England team out for lacking passion and commitment but the reality is they lack the technical skill and brains to be a truly great team at this level, and that's been the case for a long, long time. When they aren't around there foreign buddies at club level they are shown up for what they are. As Harry Redknapp said, England needs to start developing players like Bastian Schweinsteiger and Mesut Ozil, and at the moment, they aren't.

Capello has his faults, no question about it, but he's working with a limited bunch and the sad thing is alot of English fans and the media would have you believe these are far better footballers than they actually are. Clive Tyldesley comparing England to Spain during a recent game and Alan Shearer, Lee Dixon and Alan Hansen writing Germany off as an average team springs to mind.

England are simply reaching there potential, this stage, possibly the odd quarter final here and there is all I see.

Great post.
This is the main reason and very few people in England would acknowledge it as the real reason. The blame always fall on the manager and the amount of money the players are paid(which had nothing to do with losing). England can change any manager they like but the outcome would not change much. It's the grassroot youth development that is lacking. They need to teach kids technical skills and football intelligent. Not just pace strength and more pace follow by more strength.

So disappointing. The worrying thing is I dont see much else coming through,

Rodwell aside, where is the future talent.

Anyway...I hate football, I hate you and Pienaar is going to Athletico.
