Being part German, I can't admit to not being happy that Germany is moving forward. That said, it is sad that England didn't go out with a bigger bang.

Gerrard and Lampard are both paid over 100k a week an the 2 best midfielders in the prem. score on avarge 40 goals a season between themselves, Yet when it comes to England, they cant play together? why not, there the best in the professtion we got, yet they can't play together.
Because for their clubs they are doing exactly the same thing - they score a lot and sometimes makes nice assists, but also they are very wasteful in possesion and are shooting on sight almost every game. When they are playing for their clubs, it can work, because they have other players around them, more cultured players. But when you have two of them playing together...
Dunga had the balls to show middle finger to fans and media, not taking Ronaldinho to this WC, because he did his lessons based on events from 4 years ago - Kaka and Ronaldinho can't play together. What would be a reaction if Capello would do the same thing before World Cup?
I don't remember for how long Lampard and Gerrard are playing for England NT, but English fans and pundits have yet to understand, that both can't play together. Despite plenty of examples for that.

Don't neglect the fact that these players are the ones who have most matches accumulated amongst them.

The spaniards have had the same problem tournament after tournament.

I admire the eternal optimism in England fans despite being handed their arse in pretty much every tournament they qualify for.

You again :dodgy:

Well today was pretty horrific. Whilst not making exuses if that second goal had stood it would have been a different game. 3 of their goals were on the counter attack and the other one was route one. I dont think we were 4 1 bad. We just had no cutting edge and Rooney was absolutly shocking. The way Barry got beat for the fourth made me wanna rip my own testicles off just so I had someting to throw at the screen.

And why was Gerrard playing on the left again?! And Milner's not an out and out winger. We were soooo narrow it was painful.

O such a terrible day.

I'm not even bothered about that Lampard "goal", we deserved fcuk all.

Just got in and couldn't be arsed to watch today's matches so I just looked at the results.

I'm sorry England didn't go farther but if there's one thing this World Cup has demonstrated to me:

The need for video techonology/review.

Waaaaaaaaay too many blown calls by the referees/linesmen.

What annoys me is that, Gerrard performs for England Lamps doesn't, so why is it that Gerrard always get screwed over?

The Octopus is NEVER WRONG, ALL HAIL THE OCTOPUSS

Just seeing the team landing back at their base from yesterdays debacle.

Cole etc laughing and joking if nowt had happened.... sums their attitude up for me...

I've done coaching, i went to the states last year and although their kids aren't at the standards that ours are, their coaching methods are a lot better, along with their facilities - thats why i believe they will win a world cup within the next 20 years.

This country simply haven't got the same quality of coaching or any strategy for development for the future. Of course their will be the odd player who comes through who is class, we are all excited about Rodwell and Arsenal have Wilkshire, but when was the last time England, Scotland, Wales & Ireland produced a Messi, Xavi, Iniesta, Arteta, players with real technical ability. The nearest thing they have ever come is Gascoigne.

Until the coaching and development from grassroots upwards changes, and when the FA put development before £££, the home countries will never be a true force.

Wales - Ramsey
He's 18 and was wanted by Man Utd, Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton and Spurs.
