Getting beaten by lesser teams at home - the wake up call

Good luck to you if you believe Moyes, Smith or the Leeds manager got more and want to “have a go”.

As much as I am being critical for the latest home results, I am on Carlo’s side because he is the best signing we have. He just needed to be back and when our home form is back on track we will be up there to complete.
So we are lucky to have CA and shouldnt be accountable to anyone? Even if it is the worst display I can remember in at least the last 10 years? In fact I`m struggling to find a worse performance in my lifetime....

Allardyce played the same way and got ripped to pieces and chased out of the club by these same fans..... I`m strugling to see how CA and BFS styles are different, they are exactly the same!

We aren’t as good as we think we are. But what has annoyed me the most, forget about quality on the pitch, the likes of West Ham, Leeds, Newcastle and Fulham last night, have all worked harder than us. That is unforgivable. Is that down to attitude or fitness or both?

I don’t think it’s fair to judge because he didn’t buy the like in Siggy and Gomes. I do think he got it wrong in the last few home matches against these lesser teams though, whom we are supposed to beat. Could be down to loyalty on certain players, could be down to trying to make players happy with game-time.

True. No fight no work-rate no aggression.

If your talking about arrogance i think it stems from the players. Its them who put a shift in in the games against the better sides and stroll around against the similar teams like theyre just going to win by turning up.

Weve got no movement in midfield and as a result no structure. The workrate is shocking. So players like docoure and allan go hunting and wander out of position. The individuals dont fill in they jog back or point

So CA doesnt have the squad he wants, dont forget BFS (I only pick him because we all hate him), and I am playing devils advocate got to 8th with all these players PLUS all the deadwood that has been sold or loaned out, and he didnt have the luxury of DCL in the form he is in and Doucoure, Allan and James.

Which record looks better ATM?

Anybody advocating Moyes should give your head a wobble.
remember we gave Preston 2 million quid in compensation to Preston in 2001. A lot of money then. Then goes to the richest club in the world for nothing. That’s what he really thought about Everton.
Remember before he went to Man U he’s telling everybody that he will sign a new contract with us. Then Fergie let’s the cat out of the bag that Moyes to Man U was already sorted at Christmas. Scum bag.
That showed a lack of class from the ginger one
Can’t stand him even though I think he would have made a great DOF instead of what we have now.

Definitely teams get up for it coming to Goodison. We need to play with the courage and fight we show when we play the big teams.

Lazy mentality from individuals and the group.

I do think players must be mentally fatigued, as we all are after a year of covid and its restrictions. Even with the 12 bedroom mansion the world still isn’t normal.

As with the prem, lack of fans favours the away team and I think a full Goodison would roar us into gear.

I hope the players look back at this season and see these dropped points as a massive missed opportunity. Those extra draws or wins puts us in the Champions league places. Players who are content with where we finish clearly don’t have the hunger and should be shipped but this is what happens when you sign players that are experienced in being relegated or finishing mid table

Don’t think experimentation with the formo has helped but lot of injuries this year and games in quick succession has forced Carlo’s hand somewhat. I hope the experimentations have been just that - and that Carlo and the players are learning. Hopefully next year we make a couple of additions and keep a stable starting XI. We’ve already seen what that can do

I just have a little feeling that carlo is making so many change's to please everyone, instead of sticking to a starting 11 and a formation - bar Injuries [against anyone]

Perhaps we wait till the season finishes in May then we can see a clear picture.

CA/Brands/Moshiri need to be ruthless this summer!

What we have learnt is Pickford, Olson and Virginia is not good enough to be number 1.

Coleman is finished, Holgate not good enough RB or CB. Keane and Mina are the 1st choice but both severely lack pace, I dont think Mina is good enough, we saw his horror show against Spurs. Godfrey needs to be playing week in week out at CB. Digne has no competition so is easy for him to walk through games, I`ve heard City want him so in his mind he might already be gone!

Allan, Doucoure are the only midfielders considered for our starting XI. Delph, Sigurdsson, Davies and dont forget we still got Besic should all be sold or have their contracts terminated. Gomes is an enigma, I`ve no doubt he will play better in a better side but should only be used fro the bench. Gbamin, no one has any idea what this guy is like, more likely and insurance job and send him down the road.

Richarlison & DCL only decent forwards, 2 players to cover the front 3! We need more and even more again to cover injuries. I think King and Bernard will be gone in the summer and so should Iwobi who is way too inconsistent and more bad games than good. Then their is James, its like Zidane tipping up at Accrington Stanley, all the creativity and flair but a player we carry everytime he plays, he would be good in a strong team but unfortunately we are not that and we are carrying a few players as it is, we are regularly playing with a man down we dont need anymore!

I only make that about 9 players good enough to start if we want to achieve, and there in lies the problem. The squad is packed full of 5h17.

How many of these players would get in a top 4 side? How many of these players will get in West Hams side?!? Sad state of affairs......
