The party would literally just split if that were to happen - which, in the long term, would be a good thing, but in the short term would result in continuous Tory rule.

I think we are now unofficially a one party state and will remain so for at least a decade, probably more.

Sad days indeed.

The Tory right cannot believe its luck.

The best twofer ever.......they got their wet dream of Brexit......and the Labour Party crashed and burned as a result.

If this Brexit madness cannot be reversed.....and I still believe it can be......God help the poor, the sick, the unemployed and the elderly as the looming years of one party Tory rule gets to work dismantling all the reforms and safety nets of the post war consensus and the EU liberal influences on our lives.

I think if you go back to what has been stated the real gripe was Corbyn's poor showing in support of the EU.

It's not a poor showing, it's a dereliction of duty. He described his support for remain as 7 or 7.5 out of 10, and it turns out even that was a bare faced lie.

herein lies the whole upset with Corbyn, never mind what Attrotel posted, Corbyn did not actively, Energetically or enthusiatically campaign for the In Camp. Why did Labour not have a bus an d go round the country for example. Corbyn was lukewarm in his talk of staying in the EU. Never really addressed any of the issues linked to the EU whether in or out.

Can't post in the eu thread by request but Jesus just seen the transcript of Farage in the European Parliament today. Just who on earth does he think he is? I'd never tire of kicking his kin face in.
