Hilary Benn Sacked From The Shadow Cabinet - wider political debate

Is it though?

No mate. They're being lobbied by a very vocal small minority of the electorate. 'Rent a Mob'

You don't win elections by not appealing to a wide spectrum of the electorate. The PLP are saying they have no confidence in him and he's incapable of doing so.

170 to 40!

Thats some no confidence vote against him.

4 to 1 against.

It only matters that you are right. For instance, in the dark days of 1940 and after two days of the biggest Parliamentary kicking ever received by a government (the infamous Norway Debate), 281 Tory MPs voted one way, 41 voted the other.

The 41 were proved right.

Its true mate. Dianne Abbott was all over twitter calling out the mob - to protest.

Really. 'Rent a mob'

I am not a mob, nor am I part of any mob. I am a member of a political party and I have a right to organise and support whatever cause I wish. I am not for sale, nor for rent far from it. I am certainly far more principled than anyone who might seek to demean genuine democratic activity with terms like "rent a mob." You've embarrassed yourself, tbh.

What you are doing is demonising public political demonstrations which, to be frank, is rather troubling. That way, totalitarianism lies.....

Stand back and look at what is really happening here.

Mate. Corbyn was ranting and raving comparing Israel and Islamic state at an Antisemitism report publication - at which one of his own Jewish MPs was smeared by his own supporter in the crowd yesterday.

Its clear whats going on. If anyone in Labour thinks the middle ground would vote Labour right now with Corbyn in charge they are absolutely deluding themselves.

You do not get power (into government) only appealing to your own support. That might not be what you want to hear but its true.

10,000 students with nothing better to do. Wonder how many will make it done from Jarrow?

My colleague and her partner went after a long day's work. They could have done without it - it's knackering teaching 6 year olds or delivering al over the country from 5am. This time I couldn't go - I had a reports writing deadline to meet. I'll go nest time, hopefully, just as I've gone in the past.

Not rent a bleeding mob. Not extremists. Just honest, goodhearted people who expect better for all of us.

Yes, but as I said they are the ones with the lengthy record of defeat. Labour has to either be fixed so that its more in tune with its support or change direction, and there is nothing that they have come up with that would suggest they have the slightest idea of how to do either with success.
Just to come back to this, Ed wasn't the man who MPs and the Labour membership backed. The union vote swung it for him.

I can't say I'm a big fan of his brother David but he would've had a much better chance of winning the election. I think that the left was neglected under Blair (who certainly did do a great deal of good in comparison to the Tories who had the country in absolute shambles - people dying in hospitals waiting for treatment and so on) so I do think that they should have much more of an influence. I guess it came down to the fact that he had so much electoral success.

But Labour is very much post-Blair no matter how much people hysterically cry otherwise, so I do think that the Left will have more influence than then, regardless of the leader. But you need that electable face to get you into power first and foremost. To put it in simple terms, you need a Blair (good leader, charismatic with the right slogans and appeal) that goes left instead of right. It's really annoying to me that people are so resistant to that happening because it's the only way the Labour Party can make a positive difference in people's lives - which is what it's about no? There's no point calling the Tories scum and evil if you aren't putting yourself in a position to actually challenge them properly.

That interview was suddenly halted by the spokes person because JC was facing a barrage of questions which were not to their liking. JC exited very quietly stage left! In the past there have dubious comments made by JC about the Middle East and he slunk away from that meeting to avoid further interrogation. So where is this brave man I ask?

Look, since you are clearly trolling I will address this to everyone else.

At that press conference he said that "our Jewish friends are no more responsible for the actions of Israel or the Netanyahu government than our Muslim friends are responsible for the actions of self-styled Islamic states and organizations" Here is footage of him saying it.

Any politician that has to try and organise support onto the streets to demonstrate 'support'

Is a weak politician and whom actually clearly very few people in the wider electorate support.

This is a fact. Popular British politicians simply don't need their friends on twitter calling people to come out. They don't.

Diane Abbott and McDonnell both have in the past 48 hours.

Mate. Telling you the truth that you obviously don't want to hear - isn't trolling.

Its called telling you politely.

There are many many people that simply could never vote for Corbyn. He's unelectable.

The PLP is simply doing what they think is right. I agree with them.

Corbyn cannot even organise a half effective opposition. Never mind a government!
