All I can say to his critics is this: I don't know very much at all about football. I now see that I'm in company.

The club seem to have got a manager who really does know his ass from his elbow. It's a lifeline. When sinking, it's best to grab the lifeline and hang on through the rough waters, isn't it?

Has he actually got critics?

Everyone knows he got dealt a disastrous hand in our squad. I’ve got full confidence he’ll try his best to fix that.

He is a man manager and good at getting the best out of what he has, abit disappointed but look at the attitude of some of our players

Get rid of the wasters get some players in Carlo wants and we will have a good season next

The honest assessment is that as disastrous and worthless this season was it has answered any remaining doubts on who has been to blame for endless unachieving campaigns.

The manager - unquestionable ability and expertise.

The fans - not in the stadium.

The players must be gutted they've been exposed finally. The sooner they are swept into the gutter the better.

He's worked with the best and needs to be trusted and backed...'bout it, really. I'm glad he's been here long enough to sort out the start of the season how he sees fit because it's not the best of scenarios but could be an advantage, if you make the right moves.

Onwards...

He was handed a team part-way through the season which contained Alex Iwobi, Tom Davies, Morgan Schneiderlin and Gylfi Sigurdsson as the midfield.

He should recieve a statue for keeping us from going down.

This is just daft.

In no way did Allardyce do an ‘even better job.’

Allardyce’s points per game was 1.42: which extrapolated over a season would get you around 54 points and a finish of 10th.

Ancelotti‘s was 1.58 per game which gets you 60 points and 6th.

This also ignores the millions that Allardyce was given to spend on Tosun & Walcott and the fact he made the match going experience almost unbearable.
It’s not daft.
If you’re going into points tallies, there’s variables around fixtures which could affect that. I’m not bothering doing all that because I’m not that bothered.
The January transfer window counts for something but when you add the values of the players we bought in the summer that Carlo also had to work with then without doubt, Carlo has the far more valuable squad. Allardyce had Tosun, CA has Richie and a Improved, standout season from DCL, so many have you believe on here.
But I don’t want to go into details which strengthen my point, I just wanted to ask why one is despised more than any other previous manager and one is lauded as a miracle worker for getting that points tally with a better squad than what allardyce had?

I’m interested to know what you thought of allardyces reign under similar circumstances?
Got us to 8th? I can’t stand the guy or his football either but he got very little credit for the points he gathered, whereas we use those stats to beef up Carlos job so far. And the footballs been no different. Really bias us football fans if your face fits and you say the right things in interviews.
Carlos tenure for me starts next season with some players under his belt and having had some time to work with the team and get some ideas across.
I’m a big fan of his, loved him before he came here anyhow and he should be backed.
I just get annoyed when Allardyce got zero credit for doing an even better job (without richarlison) and Ancelotti is lauded as some sort of god for doing the same.
Do you go the match mate? Are you not visually impaired?

If the answer is yes to both questions, then I can’t for the life of me fathom why you’re asking,

Unfortunately mate the round trip from Sydney’s too long these days. But I do watch every game. I don’t think the difference in the quality of football is much different. Except one tries to arse about with it at the back.

I am a little bit disappointed but i think its more to do with the way certain players played (trying to keep this clean otherwise i would have described them a lot worse). The thing that will sway me is how we do in this transfer window. The quality of players will obviously be the most important but given the poor displays we need to get them in early so that Carlo has time to work with them, if this isn't done and we sign everybody around the 5th October my disappointment will not be with Carlo but with those in charge of transfers.

The games we have won are from his in-game charges, we have never had that from a manager, in the prem.

Sorry mate but everything about allardyce just stunk and i dont mean just the football the man had absolutely no class about him at all (how about him claiming he was behind the West ham result). He is the one claiming he was some miracle worker not anybody else. I for one am also not lauding ancelloti as some miracle worker either. He did what he needed to because imho we were in real danger of bring dragged into the relegation fight unlike when allardyce took over when we weren't. I think if i remember rightly us going a number of games on the bounce under allardyce without even a shot on target. I also know who i would rather have in charge out of the two of them but please don't try and make out allardyce as doing a better job than ancelloti because it just isn't true on any metric you apply.

Charlie Nicholas on sky rating our performance this season.

Everton: D
I don't know what Everton are. I don't know what their style is, what their shape is, Carlo Ancelotti is a man who should have got that embedded in them by now. It started well for him, but I look at people like Gylfi Sigurdsson and ask if they are that interested?

I think Ancelotti will look at this team and say how much have I got? I don't think there'll be a lot of money there, they've spent big before. It's been a pretty bog-standard season for them.

Ancelotti will be questioning his own job so far. He'll be asking why Duncan Ferguson could get a lift out of the players, then he did when he turned up, and now he can't get anything from them. Does it matter to them? His CV is to die for, and he'll ask why he's not getting the best out of certain players

Think for me this is spot on, the players don’t look interested at all, worrying aswell if they don’t look to raise their game for a manager like Carlo then we’re in trouble.

We need an identity at the moment because we look lost and easy to play against, hopefully we are able to shift a few players and bring in people who will have that winning mentality and can fit into how he wants to play.
