And we are back to the start, another Big Mick Keggers isnt a bad thing, despite the anti-big mick keggers hate cult. This is what I mean by another Keane
I'm a Keane fan we just don't need another. And we are back to the start, another Big Mick Keggers isnt a bad thing, despite the anti-big mick keggers hate cult.
From what ive seen hes a decent steady injury free CB, thats the bit I cant ignore.I'm a Keane fan we just don't need another.
Frankly you can make a case for me that we don't actually need to do business in the position. The CBs aren't good but they can appear good if we put a real midfield in front of them. Mina's injuries and contract mean that probably isn't the best way to handle it but I'm not totally sure giving a guy four fresh years of wages at age 29 is the right course either.
It'd be different if we hadn't seen Keane do the same move and have certain issues. That's not fair but I can't ignore it.
That's what I was saying you could just sign no one, hope injuries aren't as bad and sell Mina next summer since his value probably can't drop off that much as I imagine it is low already. Fix the midfield instead and you've got a better defense. From what ive seen hes a decent steady injury free CB, thats the bit I cant ignore.
That and the free bit, hes a short term fix, that wont hinder us, if he continues on his current injury free path for another 3 years, which is impossible at this club, but, IF he does, then its a deal we should do. If he craps the bed, well its 5m a year down the drain, a mere drop in the ocean for Squander FC. Yeah, yeah, we should be doing things properly, but sloperly properly.
Our defenders arent bad, they just need to stop kicking the ball into their own net and getting injured.
Would imagine it would be JT in and 1 out, possibly Branflakes a loan or Mina due to his injury issues.
But as said in the past, if it happens, then great, if it doesnt, oh well, the danger is, who do we turn to then? I dont want us wasting our dough on CBs or Full backs when our midfield needs some major surgery.

He wasn't, technically, but, he had played only 38 premier league games for Sheffield United, and about 200 games for them in the championship or division one. Its still kind of a valid point.Jagielka was not a lower league footballer.
He just been relegated from the Premiership with Sheff. Utd when we signed him.
Pretty much this.Questions
Is he better then Keane and Holgate?
Can he pass the ball without panicking?
How many goals had he caused for Burnley?
I'm not too bothered about his age,age is just a number

Indeed it is. Keane has looked at worst okay - at times even better - when we've played a deeper line with little to no gap between the back four and Pickford.Burnley with their backs against the wall defending deep is probably different to the way Frank wants to play but I think Tarkowski can adapt, he’s a decent solid defender and can read the game pretty well.
