It’s unlikely it would really work that way for player trading etc. We aren’t going to lose our best players to Lyon and they won’t lose their best to us because neither would really be a step up: a player that’s outgrown Everton has outgrown Lyon and vice versa.

There may be transfers between the two of some players if there are positions the other club can fill but in terms of any hierarchy I think it would likely be the two smaller clubs feeding into the two bigger clubs equally.

Yes sure, but does that not worry you ?? What happens when he or his team then go and buy into a bigger club than us ??

The fact thet he openly says ANY club is a priority in his group is a worry, some blues are being a little short/sihted here.

I knopw we have no choice in all of this though, but im just worried anout ANY owner these days.

well he hasn’t and won’t get bigger than us

and im a billion % certain without knowing about his other clubs he will manage us better than our prevs and could
of beens

All of that is better than us and what we currently are.

We have a shocking records in Europe really, and have done pretty much nothing for almost 4 decades.

We need to take those blue specs off, we are way behins current Euro clubs.

so we’re going on the last 25yrs how big clubs are ?? Lyon havent won a title in 17yrs after winning 7 straight and have 2 French cups in 52 yrs and this is the French league, whatever you say it’s an easier league. Also didn’t fill their ground once last season 59k and one game they had 20k and plenty in the 30’s.
Are Leicester bigger than us? Because since we won anything they have a title a FA Cup and a couple of league cups

Blah blah blah....nobody really cares about all that stuff hundred years ago, especially not players on who they will sign for etc.
Obsession with crowds is also a small club mentality thing, it doesnt really matter.

Lyon have played 130 games in the champions league, they play in Europe regular, they have bigger income. Thats what matters to payers - money and playing in big competitions.

Could we become bigger, yes sure......But if its that easy why are we struggling ??!!

We have just finished 15th, Lyon will be playing in Europe again next season.

🤣🤣🤣🤣 so you can’t count crowds but you can count European games. It’s a weaker league the French league is easier to qualify for Europe. Bet there’s clubs in Greece, Turkey, Belgium, Portugal who’ve played more games in Europe than Lyon.
Yes Lyon have had some success since 2000, finished 6th last season but gate average was roughly 2/3rds full.

They have 13 major trophies in their history , 10 were won in a 10yr spell. Won nothing in 12 yrs

You said Lyon were bigger I disagree.
