Jonjoe Kenny

As long as this so called footballer is at our club we will be in a relegation battle every season he is here.

Can you imagine any club and I mean any club wanting to sign this lad?

Why has this once great club come to this, embarrassing is an understatement

Cannot believe this is even being considered. Surely if Kenny goes we have Patterson and Coleman. We don’t need to waste wages on him. This can only suggest that either Seamus is going to retire and Patterson will have Kenny as back up. Or they don’t rate Patterson and are keeping Kenny as back up to Coleman.

Coleman will be our starting RB first game of the season.

I can guarantee you we won’t be able to get rid of him because whatever his wage is, it will be more than anyone else is willing to even consider offering him.
But that may be the crux of it. If the offer is too high then I agree but we just don’t know. I get the sense that an important part of it may be what he’s like as a squad member. There is a suggestion from Lampard that the mentality and mood was not well within camp and that Coleman had spoken to him about it. We need a certain number within the squad and I think we all get carried away sometimes as to the numbers in and out. Defence was threadbare at times and the aim is to get the wage bill down. Who would we sign to replace our third choice full back cover. There’d be a transfer fee and would wages be any better and we would have no idea as to the effect he would have on the squad dynamic.

We’ve been in one relegation battle since he broke into the first team, and 1 1/2 seasons of that he was at Schalke and Celtic

I'm still convinced Patterson is not in Lampard's plans.

Not his signing. Not used by FL when he had ample opportunity to.

I dont think we've heard the end of the RB situation. There could even be another one bought and then a big decision made on either Patterson or Coleman.

I said it would be stupid to turn down £9m and then loan him out in January 2021. Lampard was not our manager in 2021 so I did not call him stupid. The person who read it twice and still couldn’t work out what it said on the other hand…
Well Burnley definitely made that bid for him and Lampard has made the offer of a three year contract to him so regardless of what you think about me what do you make of that three year offer to Jonjoe by Lampard, if it is true.

If he had any self respect whatsoever he wouldn’t accept the contract. He must know he’s massively out of his depth. Just do the decent thing and leave the club.

Extraordinary reaction to this.

Lads, we are skint (on paper). You can't just throw players out and expect replacement.

If he went, who fills in if Coleman, Myko or Patterson gets injured? He is being re-signed, not to play, but as a back up. He didn't play that badly when he filled in anyway.

For the money, he is worth keeping around, based on upgrading other positions and clearing out much more expensive dross like Gomes etc...

Scousericey is that you Bill?
We wouldn’t get 3m for him now. Three more years of sitting on the bench he’ll be worth nothing. £20,000 a week though, no wonder he’s happy to stay. Offer him £5,000 a week, if he stays fine, if not then do be it. Godfrey is better as a back up for Lenko and we have two other right backs.

If we are giving him £5k a week on a 3 year deal then fine. Won't really make much difference and stays as a third choice utility man. But really we need a new first choice right back of proven Premier league quality with Patterson at his understudy
