Yes, but who signed him?

Who? Oh....

What, like you’ve done repeatedly in this thread?
The controversy here is not generated by me, it;s generated by the player himself. The reaction to the criticism he's getting is one that deep down sees the error strewn GK but tribalism is kicking in to stop them saying exactly what is there for all to see.

I cant help that.

Oh I see tribalism, don’t worry about that. I see tribalism everywhere in the fanbase.

You couldn't see Sigurdsson in the centre circle when Pickford has the ball and Spain have pushed up leaving that space in the middle?

Come on mate, you're better than this.
Possibly. Looking at the goal again I'd say more likely I couldn't see Walcott being where Sterling was: central. Walcott would still be way out wide and screaming for a ball on the other side of the 18 yard box.

He is a good goalkeeper with lots of potential, however he needs to keep his feet on the ground. The worst thing in any profession is to think you have made it and I can see little elements of this in how he behaves.

There was an interview with Southall on sportsnight in the week leading up to the 95 cup final and he said something to the effect that past glories mean nothing and that's why he will achieve more (Think there was an added swear word). So if our most decorated player is saying that at 37 then probably Pickford should carry a little less swagger and be a man that has a look of sheer determination that the next match/training session will be the best of his life. We may then get the goalkeeper who we regard as a legend in future.

I agree, but against Leicester we countered a couple of times with Walcott making diagonal runs into the box so I'd like to think its definitely possible.

Pickford a spectacular keeper making spectacular mistakes...

Pickford a spectacular keeper making spectacular saves...

Take your choice but that's what you get with Pickford...
