2018/19 Jordan Pickford

I am humiliated by this derby record...a record that feller has contributed to in the most embarrassing, needless of ways.

I could give a flying one about Pickford and his feelings. It means a lot less to him than it does to me, I can GUARANTEE you that.

He's an ego. That's all. His arrogance has just cost us in a Merseyside derby. I make no apology for calling him out on that. Not one bit. And his compounding of it by hiding his catastrophic error behind a coward's comment like "it's just what happens to Everton at Anfield" was a disgrace.

We have him and he has no substantial competition for a starting place. That to me is unforgivable. It's a situation we have to see addressed in January.

It would rattle out a fantastic point if Silva went out and bought a new keeper in January. That would hammer home that he wants genuine quality in depth for each position and give players who throw games away the punishment they richly deserve by dropping them.
It was an awful error, but less humilating than the rs bench laughing when stuffing us 4-0

MoTD just reporting that Pickford has said: "the ball spun and as I tried to flick it on, my hand hit the bar" it is strange he didn't use one hand if he was trying to flick it on. The Motd team believed he was trying to catch it.

Would have been fuming at this post . . . . . . then realised it was @davek :coffee:

i forgive the mistake but cmon man admit it was a mistake

i mean hopefully that attitude means he won't dwell on it which is a positive, but the most important thing about mistakes is to learn from them so sort of worrying to see him completely dismiss any fault

Slightly concerned that his next game is against Newcastle. I don’t think there could be a worse opponent for him off the back of that error. Their fans have him some disgusting abuse in the game last season which he eventually reacted to. Just hope he plays his normal game and doesn’t do anything daft.

I am proper dead inside Tim. It's horrible.

We were excellent today and it's cost us. But it's a fluke. A fluke of a shot. A fluke of a mistake. A fluke of a bounce.

Look at our chance with Gomes. He heads it, Alisson saves, it comes back to Gomes, hits him, is going in, but Gomez somehow gets there and hits it against Sigurdsson and, somehow, it goes out for a corner.

Yeh, it's an awful error. But friggin hell, when their luck runs out, it's going to run out big style.
Just a fluke. All of the 'big games' have been away so far. Results not brilliant but only Arsenal just deserving the win. One good striker away from being a superb team, and all in a few months.
