2018/19 Jordan Pickford

I've yet to see a keeper who hasn't made a gaff...Southall was the best of the lot for me but still dropped the odd clanger.
Every outfield player made at least one mistake yesterday but they can get away with it...the keeper can't

Leave the lad alone, he is quality and will improve even more with age. The last thing he needs is the boo boys on his back killing his confidence at his age.

Having said that...save the clangers for another game than the derby lad!

Not to our extent. Not between clubs in a period when we've each been top ten. Everton, regardless of financial restrictions in that time, should have a much better record than this.

It is now a standing joke nationally and soon enough internationally.

We are disgraced and humiliated by this record. It stands no comparison between two big city rivals that I know of....not in terms of status of both clubs and unbroken periods in the same division.

You have no idea how hard all that is for me to acknowledge, but acknowledge it I must: we are deep, deep, deep in their shadow. It's a disgrace that this club has allowed that to happen and I cant see this ending anytime soon. Its a crisis of epic organisational proportions. We have Barcleona players out on that pitch and the likelihood is that the stink of our fear is going to envelope them also. They probably cant fathom WTF is going on with this record against Liverpool, because to be quite frank they aren't that good.

No one nationally or internationally gives two craps about our derby record, that's where people have a major issue with you, your over exaggeration of every thing. You know what it's like, I know what it's like, everyone associated with Everton Football Club knows what it's like, we now have a manager in place who in a very short amount of time has instilled a no fear policy in our players to not go to our bogey grounds and roll over like past managers. Poor decisions and finishing have prevented us from coming away with at least 10 points from these four games.

I said it to you last night but I'll say it again, you seriously need to take a step back and get your head clear to think straight because at the moment you have been babbling on and on so much you've lost all rationality

A lot of the time he either slices it or gets way too much on a kick, and as someone said above he needs to learn to calm down and not rush his kicks all the time

Thats as much about decision making though isn't it? I think his distribution is fantastic and in truth has really helped alleviate pressure in away games, as we can keep the ball around the back 4 for 20-30 seconds longer before clearing it. It sounds an insignificant thing but away from home in big games it makes an enormous difference in halting the home sides momentum.

Mate we have been on par with average clubs for 20 odd years, look at the record against the big 4/6,we have had Moyes looking resplendant in his M&S cardie sipping pomghane and simpering away on SSN for finish, "modern fans" laugh at the idea of us as a big club, laying the blame of 20 odd years of mis-management and the belittling of this institute by so called custodians cant be put on the shoulders of a keeper dropping a bollock,we all know he made an horrendous mistake but I think your going slightly over the top here

Still don't know what the [Poor language removed] he was thinking....there was no need to touch that ball. Hopefully learns from it.

Dunno, I used to be a keeper when I played when I was younger (I was good when I was fat, good cushioning). And when we started playing in full size nets etc the coaches said that if the ball was dropping never leave it unless you're sure it was going over.

I'm guessing the same applies at all levels.

Their keeper made a horrendous error doing a Cruyff turn that cost them 2 points earlier in the season, and he looks top class. They all do it. De Gea has made several this season. He is the best we can get, although I do think we should be trying to buy a young keeper or 2, as Pickford will never be a top 4 keeper, due to his indecision on crosses.

Spot on to be fair , I think that’s fairly basic isn’t it ? As a very poor defender I’d always expect the keeper not to take a chance it was going ok . They never do , do they ?

He tried to tip it over, but because he couldn't quite reach it, it came back into play. A bit like when you're trying to get a bag of sugar down from a high shelf and end up pouring it all over you!!
