They'd set it up in reverse as a parody of Bo Derek and Dudley Moore. I do not remember any braces on her, (or Bo Derek for that matter) it was the carry on James Bond era where laughs or parody laughs were the currency of the day. Shame really, for instance the train shoot out in golden gun (book) is far superior to the crap someone dreamed up for the big screen. But Britt Ekland gets them a pass.nice and true...i guess you don't remember that she had braces then? For me, she had braces and they twinkled against the light, and that was a moment of mutual recognition between the two...but it never happened. Weird thing is thousands of others also remember the same non-existent scene.
"play it again Sam"Maybe these collective misrememberings come from well-known spoofs which themselves misquoted the famous lines.
So we're remembering the spoof, but think we're remembering the original.
See also "Hello Clarice" and "Luke, I am your father."
i haven't seen the Roger Bond flicks since the 90's....might have to go through them at some point. They were quite entertaining, to be fair. Even if Sean was the superior Bond. They'd set it up in reverse as a parody of Bo Derek and Dudley Moore. Had an evening in with Vanessa Kirby last night.
First up, Mission Impossible Fallout. Enjoyable but she only played a very minor role in it which was a shame as I really liked her character. Hopefully we get to see a bit more of her in the latest MI movie.
Second up, Fast and Furious, Hobbs and Shaw. Thought this was really good fun. Not really into the "Fast" franchise and nearly gave it a miss but so glad I didn't. Loved Vanessa in the all action role and thought she and her "brother" Jason Statham bounced off each other brilliantly. Hope they do a sequel or a spin off.
Finally, Pieces of a Woman. Quite a harrowing film about the aftermath of a woman losing her baby during childbirth. Not really something I'd normally watch tbh but Vanessa was quite outstanding in it and showed off her versatility as an actress.
Anybody recommend anything else Vanessa Kirby is in?
Not a film but she’s very good in The Crown as Princess MargaretHad an evening in with Vanessa Kirby last night.

I'm a big fan of the franchise, but found it completely underwhelming, especially the cgi stuff in the dark where you couldn't make anything out.The new Indiana Jones movie. One of the worst movies I've ever seen, certainly since COVID came and went. The CGI was poor, the chases looked so speeded up I was expecting Benny Hill music and the storyline utterly ridiculous.
Yeah seen it mate. Think it was the first thing I saw her in. First 2 series were very good but went downhill after Claire Foy and Vanessa left it. Think she got a BAFTA for that didn't she.Not a film but she’s very good in The Crown as Princess Margaret
I watched this myself after hearing a lot of hype about it being the horror film of the year, basically watched Lego sets on the floor, it bored me senseless, followed by watching Possum, contains mainly 2 actors , both who put in classic performances, a proper psychological horror film that leaves you feeling uncomfortable, well worth a watchContinuing with the found footage theme, I watched Skinamarink tonight. Tried to avoid reading much about it beforehand, and not too sure what to make of it. It has a few unsettling moments, but is horribly overlong and too one-paced to make much of an impression. It's basically an experimental art film that's been marketed as a horror, but it's a long way from mainstream genre cinema.
I will take a look at that, cheers. Could do with something decent along those lines, as last night I watched another found footage dud: The Outwaters.I watched this myself after hearing a lot of hype about it being the horror film of the year, basically watched Lego sets on the floor, it bored me senseless, followed by watching Possum, contains mainly 2 actors , both who put in classic performances, a proper psychological horror film that leaves you feeling uncomfortable, well worth a watch
