Lewis Dobbin

Tbf he has probably been the standout for me in pre season. A threat v Bolton and looked dangerous in his cameo v stoke.

Probably says a lot about our other attacking options tbh but he has potential.

If he’s staying he has to get game time, no point holding onto this lad and keeping him on the bench losing value.

I’d rather give a young lad a chance who’s probably desperate to prove himself, especially considering it’s by far the least covered part of the squad.

If he can get 25 appearances then it’s worth keeping him, that’s either starting or from the bench.

.…it’s often about right time, right place and grasping the opportunity. He’s giving himself a chance.

I don't think Dyche is one to suffer fools lightly so to speak. He has a reputation, perhaps harshly, for not blooding younger players, the fact he hasnt sent Dobbin out on loan is a big tick for him.

Other lads will come in, but Dobbin has the shirt and it's his to lose.

If he turns into a starting caliber player that gives us lots of options to shape the team and solve problems. McNeil would be allowed to shift to left back or the right wing and we’d finally have a team that could counter properly and utilize the width. Not getting my hopes up but this kind of luck would jumpstart the rebuilding process.
