After the VAR fiasco at Spurs referees will be thinking twice before giving anything against Liverpool for a long time. Not sure whether I'd call it cheating, but you'll see a subconscious bias towards them over the course of the season for sure.

Its just yet another example of big team bias. It gets worse and worse in the premier league every season

And a big reason why there is big team bias is the amount of media attention there is any time a big club get a remotely questionable decision go against them. Yet the decisions against us will be forgotten by Monday morning.

Its not cheating. But there is an inherent big team bias across the main European leagues. And it needs to be consistently highlighted.

I love that he's come out and said this.

I know there are all these rules about comments on the referees by managers and players, but poor performances have to be called out.

Shall we start the crowdfunding for the inevitable fine he's going to get?

And how many more should they have?? I can remember another 2 in top of Konate’s today. Gerrard 2 foot lunge on Naysmith and Kuyt’s drop kick on Phil Neville.

And then a definite one that shouldn’t go against us is Rodwell on Suarez.

Its corrupt.

That's my point. I think the bulk of these dismissals are in the PL era. The PL is all about branding and that makes this imbalance understandable as the actions of corrupt officials protecting the brand.

Incredible reasoning from Pawson for Tarkowski's booking, 'out of position'. The only person who can say whether he was in the 'right position' is Dyche. He sets up the team with the tactics, i.e positioning of pl;ayers. I suppose if a centre forward fouls in our left back position he'll get booked because he's 'out of position'. Bent.

I get the point. If you're a centre back caught up field you leg someone cynically to get back into position. And if that's a rule, fine. But apply for both teams.

It's not even open for debate.
Konates foul stopped a breakaway.
It's the clearest yellow / red you will see.
Is the ref corrupt , weak or incompetent?
At the end of the day I don't care. It all amounts to the same

Hopefully, this is the start of us calling refs out for not allowing a 'fair game'. Ex players should be all over this.

Dom had a header in first couple of minutes. TV were trying to make out he should have buried it but tbh he did well to get up for it. Not much else. Didn't really threaten from set pieces. Maybe a decent shot from McNeil.

You're absolutely spot on. The other way round and the decision would've been in the news cycle every single day until the next round of Premier League games. The likes of Dyche should be bringing it up all the time. Yes you'll get plenty who say he's constantly complaining but at least it helps build the narrative that the likes of us get absolutely nothing.
