I am ok with turning over the roster in nearly every position for younger upside alternatives. But Digne has often gotten harsher criticism in match day performances than what I thought warranted. Over three seasons he's been our best player consistently and it frankly hasn't been that close IMO.
For the price point considering the circumstances a top side likely will be getting a bargain and that is frustrating. Everton have to realize that sell ons are necessary and move on when the timeline suggests its run its course. Too often we hold on to players a season or two longer and diminish their value simply in the noise and attitude of the exit. Or in some of the intrigue fading. Thats happening right now in his case and the value will reflect as much which ultimately leaves thee club worse off.
