Amazing how good digne has became in the last few days/weeks.
Bizare because if you go back in this or match day threads the last 15/18 months he hasnt actualy been getting rave reviews from many Everton fans. All of a sudden he's paolo maldini.

This is true, and he has been poor for a while.

Still don't want to see him at Newcastle. And would have been low down on the list of who we should punt.

The only amateurism I've seen is the way he set up the team against Brighton. Sunday league management, in fact, that's a bit of an insult to some of the Sunday league managers I've known.
His problem is that he's entrusted tasks to cack handed amateurs to do.

That'll change when he has more of his own players in. This win dow and the summer window will see that attacked.

But for a long time he has been the only decent FB on our books.

Mate that doesnt say much. Try the only fullback, along with coleman.
Dignes been on cruise mode here for to long.
Lets go with a hungry younger fullback. No guarentees. The only guarentees ive seen the past 18 months is digne not looking that bothered.

If we sell him to Newcastle of all teams i'm going to go postal
I don't think he'd want to go there, but I think it would be best-case for us.

They are where we were 5 years ago - only even richer and even more desperate.

They've got too much money and really want to land some names. We could rinse them, if he was willing to go.

Thats right. He hasnt. Im not talking about on the pitch. Im talking about posts on this forum. The" one of the best fullbacks in the league" posts.
He's vastly over rated on here.
I think he's very good in a team that plays how I like to see football played so I like him. He's not particularly good in a team that plays we have for the last 18 months though. I can see the point in selling him if we don't want him to be that type of player but it makes me very sad that we're maybe saying we don't want to play that type of football.

Imagine if Digne was a human being.

He takes a job that seems to have good prospects, gives his best and impresses.

Turns out after a couple of years that, even though the job is decent, the company is a mess he loses motivation and looks around for other opportunities whilst he still can to keep his career at the top level.

I guess we'll see how much credit he has in the bank depending on the bids that come in - we should be building up for a good sale, not undermining him though !

I'd like to see us boo a new signing when he's presented at Goodison before kickoff.
Wouldn't be a popular choice, but he has been linked, and Rafael is a fan of his. I'm sure Chelsea would be looking to offload fringe players as much as us. I'd say Chelsea would be in pole position for Dinge. He will want to play Champions league and theyr'e desperate for a class LB with Chilwell out for the season.

I fully agree with that. I posted the other day. A team like chelsea. More on the front foot. Him playing more to his strength of going forward. It would make sense. He would fit to fill in with their injury to chillwell
At the moment Everton need a better defensive player. We're shipping goals galore. And dare i say it. Players up for a fight.
