What’s the situation with FFP if we can’t get money for him this window by the way?

I believe it works on the basis of three-year rolling periods so the landscape is constantly changing and I believe infrastructure costs are not included in the calculations which makes the exact figure very difficult to work out. If we get a cast iron guarantee that we'll get a fee in the summer to loan him out now - not like the loan deal for Kean by that clown Brands - then I doubt it would matter.

I'm quite confident that we'll be able to sell him this window anyway, plenty of time for it to be arranged and lots of reported interest. The price we were probably looking for will be affected by his fall out with Benitez but if clubs start bidding against each other it will quickly climb back up to something that represents fair market value.

TBH Barkley will offer more to the team than Digne has this season, though in the past Digne has been class. Sometimes players just have to move of this is perhaps one of those situation, Benitez hadn’t helped but we will still get a decent fee for him.

…dynamic, athletic, quality in possession, plays like the game matters, progressive, competitive & a good injury record will do for starters. Loftus Cheek was used lots as a substitute for Fulham last season & is already on a huge salary.
