Why would you be upset at people being pissed off over a win? You literally want us to lose to Chelsea and City.Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I see people utterly pissed off at an Everton win as the ones on the wind up.

Don't question his pedigree...Why would you be upset at people being pissed off over a win? You literally want us to lose to Chelsea and City.
As best we know he was ill mate. But I don’t agree it’s that simplistic. Reports afterwards said he questioned Benitez style of play and the manager used him as as a sacrificial lamb.
aThere needs to be an Alpha, I’d accept that. But the best managers can make the point, discoline them, bring the player back in line, than get the best out of them. The best managers can do that.
Digne is one of our best players, you dont sell your best players when you are going head first into a relegation battle - if you want to sell an older player do it in the summer when you are safe, he’s not that old anyway.
The lads been thrown under the bus by the manager in the media, the minute the deal was done fir the Ukrainian lad.
If you were one of our best players or prospective new player, woukd you want to play for a manager like that.
Hear what you are saying Dan , but like the others posters are saying it all rests on what Benitez says.Because you'd be a mug to accept someone who did a full training day and is told he's in the 11 would then, same day, say he's too Ill to play the following day.
Come off it.
I agree and disagree at the same time. We need to sell players in this day and age, especially considering our predicament with PL rules. Digne is a very good player who we should get good money for. But freezing him out like has been done is figuratively cutting off your nose to spite your face. He's STILL a good player regardless of form. If he wanted away, sure. But this is a manager saying he has ultimate authority despite this being the absolute wrong manager to give that to.

As soon as i heard him say it i thought "thats a cheap shot".
Personally if Benitez said it was snowing outside i'd put me flip flops on.
Yeah players need moving on , every club does it , but there's a way to do it right and this isnt it.
Much as I can't stand him, he tends to do well. Getting them to Europe is an objective no matter his personal agendaLooks like to me gerrard is doing a koeman. Wants instant success signing players at their peak. Hoping to get into the top 7/Europe so he can jump ship to Liverpool in 2yrs.
Dangerous for Villa? Could leave them in the [Poor language removed]
I've said on here a fair bit that a number of players won't be able to cope/react well to a manager of Benitez style. Only earlier today.
Benitez tried to bring him back in. Chelsea. Named in the 11. Digne didn't entertain it. Whether that's on Benitez or Digne, well never know. From then on he had to go. We needed to buy a replacement.
If Benitez left tomorrow, I'd hope we don't replace him with a manager who'd come in and blow smoke up arses. I think while short term it's bad news - long term we need a major shift.
I also think it's interesting that Ancelotti spoke to Dynamo Kyiv about Mykolenko. Could suggest the club have been looking to replace Digne for a while because there's no chance we were ever paying decent money for Mykolenko without selling Digne.
If Digne hadnt fallen out with Benitez and had moved this window, i wouldve happily taken £25m.
Firstly, as he hasnt performed at all for us as last 12 months and is a soon to be 29 year old full back.
Secondly as it lets us spend money that we couldnt have otherwise, to improve our team in other positions where we really need it.
Should he have put in another 12 months in the same ilk as past 12 then we would be sitting here next year happy to take £15m for a soon to be 30 year old diminishing full back.
I detest Benitez but this transfer is getting put on him like its his fault and its terrible for us, when i dont think we'll be missing Digne 2022-.
Quite a few.Has anyone mentioned that he isn't really that good? Or hasn't been.

He has not been great and I would sell him for funds. However the club has not been great and I expect his motivation has dipped. Best outcome for bothLast 18 months he's been about as good as Tony Thomas.
Delighted we got shut.
