Nah mate, ever notice every good player we want to bin, turns into a bad sort, Lookman, Vlasic, Kean, Jamo, Digne.

If the club needs the dough - that’s fine just say it, but I’m not falling for the false morality and the framing in the media. It happens to often and to conveniently.

100%

How far back do you want to go with tbis tactic? Rooney? Ferguson? Speed?

He made himself unavailable due to illness.

Full training, then decided he was ill for a game the next day.

We desperately needed players for Chelsea - he cried off.

Lucas Digne’s return to the Everton fold has been put on hold after he informed Rafael Benítez he was unavailable for Thursday’s trip to Chelsea through illness.

The France international was dropped for Everton’s past two games but had been in line to start for the injury-hit team at Stamford Bridge. However, having trained on Tuesday, Digne declared himself unavailable 24 hours later.

“Lucas Digne is a good player, he was an important player for us and yesterday we did a training session and he was in the 11 starters,” the Everton manager said. “Today, he said he is ill and not available for tomorrow.”

Benítez has previously declined to comment on claims he has fallen out with Everton’s only senior left-back and was similarly reticent when asked whether he believed Digne was ill.

“It is not that I believe or not,” he said.
Yeah I know the story.

I know it's a mad thought but he could have actually been ill. It doesn't make much sense for me for him to be randomly missing and then be on the bench again afterwards. He is either taking the pee or he isn't.

Rubbish mings is ok but nothing special. Mina is much better.

Bailey done nothing.
Beundia the same, cost 38mil
Ings 30mil for a 29yr old
Big money on a loan deal for a player that’s fine nothing in 2yrs
And now 25mil on a 28 yr old soon to be 29.

We finished above them last season. And they only missed Grealish for a handful of games. While we had loads of injuries, same this season

We have a game in hand, would they be 3 ahead if Watkins had missed virtually all season. And Ings had missed have the season. And Mings had also missed loads of games.

And our positives are?

They've got a better squad and a new manager.

'Nah mate' to what?

There's nothing I've said there to dispute. [Edit] Unless you think its fine for a player to make themselves unavailable to play.

I'm not saying Digne is a wrong'un, nor is he a JUDAS?! I'm simply saying, I was 'Team Digne' on the Digne vs Benitez snarl until Digne decided to jib us for the Chelsea game.

Even if they hadn't fallen out, I'd be happy selling Digne for good money. We need to accept selling is part of the game, and in our position we need to sell better.

Unfortunately the way it's played out/January means we aren't going to get the money we should.

Currently 3 points above us. They are making some good signings on top of a decent side, if they click, they’ll be way above us this season.
Looks like to me gerrard is doing a koeman. Wants instant success signing players at their peak. Hoping to get into the top 7/Europe so he can jump ship to Liverpool in 2yrs.

Dangerous for Villa? Could leave them in the [Poor language removed]

Yeah seems to happen all too often.

Again, this is all one side of the story and the current narrative has been purely driven by Benitez.

According to Benitez.
