People on here underestimate just how hard it is to get a quality player like him. Look at all the flops we've signed over the years. Whatever money we make from him could easily disappear if we don't get the next purchase right straight away. And we're the masters of it. Bad news all round.

I think it’s already gone on our two new players. Hopefully they’re good

He was meant to miss 3-4 months. He came back early.
You seem to really exaggerate this.

Greg O'Keefe posted this on the 26th November 2020:

Everton have been dealt a huge injury blow with the news left-back Lucas Digne has suffered a serious ankle injury in training, reports Greg O'Keeffe. The France international, 27, is believed to be facing up to eight weeks out with ankle ligament damage, and will have surgery on Monday.

The article states he was expected to miss 11 games, Transfermarkt list him missing 9 games because of the injury.

I mean, fair play to him for getting back slightly ahead of schedule but he's hardly Lazarus is he?

He is good but we replaced baines who imo was a better player. Yes it can be hard to replace player but hate saying this but look at the rs when replacing suarez torres ect it can be done. Harder to replace dcl or rich

I enjoyed watching him play when he first arrived. The Burnley boxing day in particular was a great effort.

We're getting good money and have already signed a replacement, who hopefully turns out OK.

The only disappointment is how it's ended.

Being dropped for questioning the manager (wrong, whatever you think of the manager)

Crying off ill after being selected (inexcusable when you see how many we had out)

The manager basically driving the bus over him, and then reversing back during the Hull presser. (distinct lack of class)

It's a good move all around.
We get some money in , whatever is going on between him and the manager isn't good for either them or the club,
Few things that are getting about the situation don't paint a good picture.
Digne will do well at Villa, they have more dynamic players to cover him when he bombs forwards and the right type of attackers to get on the end of his service.
Think the Villa fans will take to him, his attacks
are dangerous, and make up for his not to good one on one's which normally end up with a foul against.
Shame the way it's gone , would normally wish him well, but his attitude has has tainted that.
Wish he had gone to Newcastle they deserve each other ?

Nah mate, ever notice every good player we want to bin, turns into a bad sort, Lookman, Vlasic, Kean, Jamo, Digne.

If the club needs the dough - that’s fine just say it, but I’m not falling for the false morality and the framing in the media. It happens to often and to conveniently.
Indeed would help to do the public dissing once player is out of club and transfer money is banked... Instead Benny announces that player has attitude thus want rid and give any potential club the upper hand in negotiations of transfer. Unbelievable, proper taking the piss!

Still convinced a player has to be sold its the back line. Forwards who perform assist or goal are always more difficult... Still the way this has been handled is another joke of a ever growing list this this club churns out regularly.
