We’re selling last season’s top chance creator because he hurt the feelings of a fat kopite dinosaur

Hate everything about this
Last season, as in the one when we were totally awful, having good stats in that season are nothing to get excited about, were are his stats for stupid free kicks gave away and players running past him?
Were not selling him because he hurt someones feeling, were selling him because he isn't professional enough and doesn't want to be sort himself out, we need deadwood players out of the club not to hang onto it.

Yeh no idea what they were thinking there. Someone will say “but we have Godfrey” but I can’t bare to see him play there. Complete waste of a position on the pitch.
It was a huge gripe I had with Carlo last season that he didn't give Nkounkou more minutes whilst Digne was injured - but that's what you get when you bring in a manager for the here and now I suppose.

Hopefully he will come back and get some games, he is very good at going forward.

I see @Neiler 's head is about to fall off.

We'll have cleared between £18-20mil in book profit on the transfer fees for a player turning 29 in 6 months.

Patterson £11mil rising to £16mil + Mykolenko (£12mil at a guess) rising up to £17mil would be £23mil in fees.

While Digne's deal is 'ok' on the fee if we do receive £25mil the two full backs make it a good to very good deal.

Hopefully he signs asap and we can also bring in a defensive midfielder.

Your a mile off with those figures mate.

It’s a poor deal.

Keep in mind we’ve paid £17m for a 22yo from the Ukrainian league and £11m for a lad with 27 senior club games

We’re selling a proven, quality LB for about £23m.
That’s the key word, “proven”, we have taken a complete gamble as a club. We don’t know how good or crap Mykolenko and Patterson might be.

We are still paying the price of Walsh's £150 million splurge of wasted recruitment & Brand's 2nd summer of £115 milliom wasted.

The books are being rebalanced and £120k+ players are sadly going for now.
This is the crux of the problem with our squad, it goes back a few years, none of the players we have just bought in over the last 5 months will be on as much money as the deadwood Brands, Walsh and Moshiri have bought in.
We need to follow this window up with a similar summer window and the books might start to look better, but for now its scout for bargains and shift deadwood and over paid tripe.
