Neither Mourinho or Benitez are still elite level anymore - but thats not to say their style of management is redundant.

Arteta is a young "progressive" manager and he just bombed Aubamayang out the side for flying out to Germany and by all accounts he'll likely be moved on in the summer.

You can't have a manager be soft with the players if you want them to command respect.

It’s all smoke and mirrors. A “falling out sale” looks better than “we need to sell to buy”. No doubt digne hasn’t been happy, but it suits both parties.
My guess is that a sale is already agreed and not playing him prevents him from getting injured.
Can you imagine the uproar if they came out and said we are selling Digne, we can’t afford for him to be injured, so he isn’t available for selection.

It does appear that weve had enquiries and chosen to manufacture a rift to ensure theres a smooth sale.

If the price is £30mil+ then that makes sense...it £25mil or below then there had better be a genius move on a top class u23 aged player agreed.

Digne signed a new contract in February and is totally settled here

I would expect Aubamayeng to be back next game though. I have no issue with leaving Digne out of a game, but I have a big issue with freezing players out. Any issues should be sorted out behind the scenes like grown ups and there should be no childish or petty political points scored by either the player or manager. So what they had an argument, get over yourselves and grow up. This isn't primary school.

Moyes isn't playing anything like he used to. You obviously haven't been watching West Ham recently. I'm not calling him a dinosaur, just that he is outdated, because I believe he is. Anyone who thinks freezing out senior players in 2021 will work is utterly deluded and obviously not in tune with modern footballers.

Mangers dont just play one formation. It's shift depending on whether you're defending or attacking.
