Credit where it's due to Phillip Neville, he played well.

I hate having him in CM but he did a good job today.

A very solid display defensively - even when a touch of cute play took the city players behind our defense, we recovered and regrouped effectively and valiantly - there seems to be so much understanding and awareness between the back four at the moment, epitomised by the fact that Howard didn't make a save until the second half. Even during the spell in the second half when City had the majority of possession, they were still limited to trying to find an impossible pass or shooting from distance.
Some might say city looked ordinary tonight, I say we made them look ordinary.
Pip in midfield a piece of tactical genius? Maybe not, but the fact that we hardly heard his name in the whole 93 mins shows that he was disciplined in his role as a defensive midfielder, along with Carsley. Cahill looked brighter, while Pienaar's creative flair becomes more apparent the longer plays in a blue shirt. And can anybody tell me if there is a better striker in the premiership at holding up play than Yakubu...?
I'm trying to find a negative to balance my summation, but I can't, so I'll leave it there. Well done Moyes!

Nice post mate.

FEED THE YAKKA.

Wonderful Performance tonight

What a great performance, from start to finish!! Jags & Cars pick of the bunch!! Encouraging we can play without Mikky when needed(y)

that was the longest second half ever!

i had £10 on the yak & 2-0 @ 50/1

Im made up for you there mate. Just in time for our next bevvy too.

Absolutely fantastic result tonight, we're riding a crest at the moment and you only need to have a look at the strength of our bench to see the progress were making.

Being a blue teaches you to expect it all to go tits up, but what Moyes has put together here has the potential to achieve some great things. We're going into games expecting to win them now and not looking to score a goal then suffocate the game to death.

Take a bow Jagielka, Pienaar and Yakubu. Three very important signings this year. The cups half full today.

Cheers mate. When you back?

Touch wood..
our defence is seriously on form at the moment. It has been getting better all season after a somewhat shaky start, and now they have developed and formed a cohesive unit which is second to none.
With the back four showing this sort of form, you always feel confident that we can win any match.

Magic, Magic, Magic. Great performance, great result. 'Jadgelka' immense. What¡'s that 8 goals from Lescott? LEGEND! For all their possesion, Dunne and Hart were City's best performers tonight imo. Along with Stiles of course. Even the Spanish commentator was saying, 'City might have the ball, but Everton are in control of this game'.
Just hope Stevie P, Mikky and Manny are ok soon.
COYB!!!(y)(y)(y)

It was noticeable in the second half that our counter attacking play became disjointed once the Pieman went off. Manny short stay was a total none event, harsh to measure him in that time although he did give the way two or three times. I caught a glimpse of the boss and he did not look too happy with him, may have been his injury or it could have been his lack of commitment, I don't know but he did scowl at him.:(

One big negative for me in the second half was AJ, Dunne the pie eater won every challenge against him and bundled him off the ball with ease, that does concern me. The back line got through another heap of work tonight and Tim Cahill was more effective than of late. Ossie was a constant pain in their arse and the Yak is well superb.(y)

All in all I am one happy blue tonight but my earlier predictions about Mikels injury gives me even more cause for concern tonight, he is in Spain seeing a specialist, this may take longer than the club is letting on!(n)
