He's barely played this year while pocketing a very good wage - we should definitely try to move him on but no reason for him to want to really, from a personal/realistic point of view.
Incredible that his contract runs another 2 years at a wage that absolutely won't be matched elsewhere.
Felt bad for him clearly upset when subbed off, but he should really be looking to move on for his own sake - he's the victim of the same type of development drift that Davies has had at the club over the past 6 years where we can't even say what kind of player they are or what their better position is.

Every job and walk of life isn't judged on the same scale. Morally and emotionally yes, but that's not the real world.

He's a very well compensated athlete at the top league in one of the biggest sports in the world, playing in front of an audience of 39000 people who have paid to watch him perform.

The audience has a right to voice their feelings. The players compensation is there for him to help him for the emotional side of the game also.

The majority of people aren't that lucky and are under far more pressure and stress that a couple of da's booing them
I voice my feelings. I mutter under my breath. I don't choreograph a herd or a mob because I know its not how to get the best out of people.

If my missus makes a cake and it's not great* I wouldn't get a better cake by booing her.

*long shot I know

He's 27 next year - surely he actively looks to play some regular football in his career?
This year he 27, October. If he wants to play regularly he has to swallow his pride and drop a lower level which means going from his 72 grand a week to under 25 grand a week. He may see it though that he could sit out his contract for the remaining 2 years and then move on thinking at 28/9 he can still perform at a lower level for a few more years

It's also quite difficult to do, easier to just boo the useless players.

If your missus is a cake maker in the top 1% of cake makers and produces an absolute pile of crap and asks you (or the customer in this scenario) to pay 10 grand and actually knows it's a crap cake - she should absolutely expect the backlash.

I'm sure if she was doing it for Gordon Ramsay at an elite level...he'd be nice about it too

I'd agree with you but then we'd both be wrong. 😉

Ramsay it a man child pillock who has found fame for being a man child pillock that doesn't know how to interact with other humans in a civilised way. Most people made famous in the media are celebrities because its a freak show, rather than them being talented.

Which is my point.

Of course the player is going to be effected emotionally...but that's the business he's in.

I bring up his financials is because...that goes a way to helping him over come certain obstacles in life in order for him to perform. And don't forget he'll no doubt be getting top end therapy at the click of his fingers paid by the club and everything he needs to help him that the people booing him don't have a chance to get. So sorry if I don't agree that fans shouldn't voice their opinions on him.

You go and boo a £20k a year nurse for helping save lives...then I'm gonna be more sympathetic.
