Ramsay it a man child pillock who has found fame for being a man child pillock that doesn't know how to interact with other humans in a civilised way. Most people made famous in the media are celebrities because its a freak show, rather than them being talented.

He was a Michelin star chef before he got on TV though....

The point is the level, the expectations, and the feedback isn't going to be sugar coated at that level.

I know it's off topic but I recently watched a video of him attempting to make cheese on toast and it was the most posh bizarre failed attempt at cheese on toast I've seen in my life.

People were booing in the comments too.

Of course it doesn't.

But the pay packet and job he's in sure goes a long way to find help to deal with those obstacles us common folk don't have the means to.

Hence why Mason Holgate will be okay.
So you think people with money never commit suicide for example because they can afford to get help?
Money can't buy you happiness, it can buy you objects, materialism, but happiness, no.
Taking it for granted someone will be ok is one of the major problems with modern society, witch hunting is another.

No it really doesn't. Thats the crux of what I am saying!

It's not about Holgate. Its the notion that getting paid well means you are somehow teflon when it comes to mental health which I am not agreeing with!

Different argument though isn't it? Not once have I said that it won't affect him as we're all human.

However...it was in reaction to the idea that fans shouldn't boo or criticise the player. That comes part and parcel with the job he has as an elite level football player. Also pointing out the resources available to him will hopefully put him in a better place to cope with the stresses of his job compared to the people in the crowd who's only release from the stresses of their life...is football.

If people want to boo him that can do IMO and my reasons for that. People are also well in their right to find that sort of thing counter productive.

But I will state...I've never said cos he's got money he won't feel anything. I said he is well compensated and has plenty of resources available to him to be okay

See another issue about this, the support for the first 35 minutes was fantastic, but all most are talking about was the disgraceful fan moment late in the second half.
If we give the players the same support against Bournmouth we give ourselves an edge, if we carry on with this culture of abuse we do ourselves no favors, and we wonder why its not an attractive club to join.

The manager called on Holgate to help out because we had injured players, if I was Holgate if he asked me again I would refuse on the principle we dont deserve to be saved

Maybe I've come across wrong but I've not said he wouldn't be immune to it.

My point is that it's part of the job and at that level they have more resources available to help them cope with it compared to the common man.

I fully understand money doesnt solve mental health issues. But pointing out that the kid has way more options, resources, and support in this job compared to a large percentage of the world's population suffering with mental health as reasons to believe he'll be "okay" cos some people boo him...isnt completely out of line...is it?
