At the very least we shouldn't be doing loan deals before mid-August at the earliest. We know, from our own bitter experience, that clubs get desperate towards the end of a window and buy players they probably shouldn't. If we loan out Holgate on the 20 somethingth of August, fair dues, but at this stage of the window we should be pushing the line that it's a sale or nothing.

Wasn’t that more of a developmental loan as opposed to a take our turd players and hope they can convince some poor team to sign them permanently kind of loan
