@Goat Also i read Forest were interested too...

...when these clubs come in for out guys we should be trying for fees or swaps + cash.

Have to be more creative

We weirdly have a Chairman that im told isnt an issue at this club, yet we have been doing the same crap loan deals for God knows how long.

Its almost as if theres something rotten at the club.

@davek

Nobody wants to buy them. Its that easy.

They will happily take a closer look at them on loan before realizing they are crap but nobody is buying them.

I get that, I really do, but I suspect we are known in the footballing world as a team that will bend to loans every single time.

All we can go on are media rumours and 'insiders'.

For the past 12months off the top of my head i can remember Keane, Maupay and Holgate having opportunities to move which the club didnt proceed with.

He will come back in 12 months with only 1 year left on his contract so we won't get much for him then if anyone wanted to buy him
Its just desperate times we are in to just do it to reduce the wage bill
At least he won't be a liability for us next season

Swap deals are prob too difficult in modern football. Especially in agreeing the player value amount for accountancy and ffp.
Not seen them much in modern football

At the very least we shouldn't be doing loan deals before mid-August at the earliest. We know, from our own bitter experience, that clubs get desperate towards the end of a window and buy players they probably shouldn't. If we loan out Holgate on the 20 somethingth of August, fair dues, but at this stage of the window we should be pushing the line that it's a sale or nothing.

A season long loan with an obligation to survive if they are not relegated next season.
We would get a loan fee, save on the wages and possibly get a transfer fee as well.
We know we were after Ndiaye in January and he can go free next summer , so there may be some kind of a deal that can be done there.

Either way, it is pointless keeping a player the manager does not intend using.

This, all day long. I imagine every other boardroom in the Premier league knows exactly how to deal with our wastrels in order to get the deal they want. Placate Chairman Bill to his face and laugh behind his back.
