I get it that an actual sale would be best. However.....we could both stick Holgate and his goal-producing turnovers with one of our competitors, and force the board to bring in an actual CB rather than relying on him to be available. Win-win. Hes our Trojan horse.

All we need is to send Keane to Luton and thats 2/3 relegation spots taken.

Don't forget as it stands Keane is starting every game next season.

You ok hun? Nonsensical day is it?

It’s almost as if he isn’t very good and other teams can see he isn’t very good (they also have access to Sky Sports). However, they see that he was knocking on the door of the England squad prior to Covid so they hope they might be able to capture some of that, but also realise that’s unlikely so they don’t want to be too committed to anything. Hence the loan.

I don’t remember this.

Interesting article in the Echo, didnt realise Heckingbottom and him were so close and how instrumental he was in his development, would be a good move for everyone if can get sorted.

I remember him having a very good second half of the 19/20 season (I think) and there was talk of a call up, thought that was going to be him finally being a permanent starter for us.

Following summer he got injured in a preseason game with an unnecessary tackle and never got nowhere near back to that form.

There was only talk of a call up among the deluded paint-sniffing fans in our fanbase. We gassed him up, voted him player of the season and it inflated his ego so much and made him think he was a silky Stones-esque ball playing centre back that didn’t have to jump for a header or get stuck in. His own attitude has stopped his development in it’s tracks, not an injury.

Interesting and Echo cannot be used in the same sentence....
