Well they were salty but there is a confusion in meats here ,lamb is actually mutton and what we call lamb is a different thing alltogether .So I am not sure as it is many years since I had my mum's peawack ,25 or so . I thought they were nice but not what we expected taste wise .

Struggling to post pics from the gardens. Tried cutting them but still too big. Just have to take my word that they were special. I live close to some world class gardens but this blew them away. Cal would have loved them and it made my trip to the Scilly Isles, sorry, Isles of Scilly, worthwhile.
